What do you think about the word: pretence? Why do people pretend?

Why do people pretend? Are we not giving false impression of a real situation by our attitude. Once you 'pretend'... you are making someone believe something that is not really the truth. Is that not creating false impression...



Is pretence not a sin?

Pretense is one's own downfall. A falsehood will only come back around to bite you on the butt. :shocked! I truly believe in this saying, "what goes around comes around" so treat others as you would like to be treated.
