Lets have a little trivia game

My belief is that your Father was not categorically wrong, just took it a step too far. The Bible is the Word of God, but it was not literally written by God. It was written by man, an imperfect scribe even under the guiding hand of the Almighty. Simple errors of transcription and translation can easily account for most if not all discrepancies there within, and there are not many. Errors of omission would be a more serious issue. However, faith based upon literal precision is simply not true faith in the first place.
My fathers beliefs were unfounded. There is internal and external evidence that the Bible is the true word of God.There are prophecies in the Bible that have been fulfilled. The Bible has a divine origin.Through archaelogical and writings the Bible has proven to be real.

I did not say or believe otherwise.

The Holy Bible is the very foundation of the Christian Faith.God's word to us.If a Christian does not believe in the Holy Bible then that person is lost.

I can't think of a better way to say it.

Incidentally, I personally couldn't care less if Jesus was dead for one day, three days, or 300 days. While the Resurrection is generally given as proof of Jesus' divine nature, and the cornerstone of Christian faith, it is not something that needs proving in the first place, at least as far as I'm concerned. God as Jesus came down to earth to suffer and die for my sins. He did not have to do this. But He did because He loves me and every other human being on the planet. For me the magnanimity of the gesture precludes the need for factual evidence. Sometimes what is known in the head is better felt in the heart.

While the event of Resurrection and the literal conquering of death is nice supporting evidence, He had me at "suffered and died".

private first class, lance corporal and I think he made sergeant.

Sorry I haven't answered before now, but I've been out of town for a few days and haven't been able to get online. Your answer is only partly correct. Gomer Pyle started out as a private and was the last in his platoon to make private first class. He got honorary promotions first to lance corporal and then to corporal.

If I'm not mistaken, we need a new question.

Marilyn Monroe often portrayed the stereotypical dumb blonde. She was neither blonde nor was her name Marilyn. What were her real hair color and her real name?

Correct. She was a brunette but bleached here hair.

Was her name Norma Jean?

Yes it was. Her last name is a bit more problematic. According to her birth certificate, her father was Martin Edward Mortensen, although her last name was spelled Mortenson on the birth certificate. He could not have been her father though, since he and her mother had separated before her mother got pregnant. Norma Jeane's last name was changed to Baker, which was the surname of her mother's first husband, who wasn't her father either. Her father may have been a man named Charles Stanley Gifford. Later in life, Norma Jeane married and went by the names Norma Jeane Daugherty, Norma Jeane DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe Miller. - Source

Everyone remembers Norma Jean from the song, but she had a different last name (no, I don't what it is).

That's understandable.
