Life is precious

This past year has generally been a tough year for me, setback after setback. When it rains, it doesn't seem to stop. But I just keep going an try to find inspirational readings about faith and God. A fellow member on this forum told me to read the book about Job which was really good. I also read the story about David an Goliath which is really inspiring.
I have a great relationship with my dad, he is more of a friend to me and has been such a good example to me. He is 57 and went for a biopsy in the week and the results came back today and he has prostate cancer. It has really come as a shock to me, just the fear of losing him. I have always heard of other people getting it but never did I expect it to happen so close to home. He seems to be positive and optimistic which is great.

I suppose we have to take knocks in life to realize what really matters and how we take things for granted. Life is really precious.

Lord, I lift up Jack's father to you now.
Prostate cancer can kill and it is a difficult thing to go through.
I pray that you will bless him and get him through this.
I pray that your glory will shine through his life right now, that Jack will be a glory to you as well.
May they both and family have faith in you that you will heal him.
We pray now for that healing.
Lord, we are yours, do as you will.
Give as you see is right, may we always praise you forever, through every trial.
We believe now that you will heal him, and we pray that you will help us to patiently wait for that miracle.

May we continue to give everything to you everyday.
We love you Lord.
