Afterwards, s/he seemed to back down somewhat. In turn, Caroline H pointed out: ‘The "type of people who get tattoos" are in the mall, regardless of whether there is a tattoo shop there or not. They are your surgeons, lawyers and CEO's, as well as people who work at McDonalds or the local diner. Not having a shop there will not keep those people out of the malls, nor should it.’
But then Caroline H doubted whether it should be in the mall after all.
So, is the mall location of a parlor really a matter of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’? and does it really make a difference whether it’s a biker or sailor getting a fantasy tattoo design or a pastor’s daughter or wife getting a faith related tattoo design?
Or stated in other terms, would you really lobby your local city planning committee to disallow a mall-located parlor ‘in case’ a biker wanted a tattoo design that you might not like, as opposed to a pastor’s daughter getting a Bible ref. design?
