wondering
This thread isn’t going to get shut down.
Please hear me sister.
A house divided cannot stand. If we claim Christ as our Lord and Savior, then even Paul urges many times, to many churches to remain United in Christ and seek unity, especially in our cultural differences.
There are many Christians that believe the Democrats are the spawn of Satan and there are a few Christians that believe Republicans are the spawn of Satan. I’m halfway inclined to think both views are correct. Just as Jesus told Peter, “Away from me, Satan”, I believe Satan uses his same influence on us.
what does Jesus say? If you love me, keep my commandments. And what else does Jesus say? The world will know you are mine by the love you have for one another.
We don’t compromise on Gods word, but we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water either. The church in Corinth had some real issues. Some were more wretched than non believers. Yet Paul continued to call them Christians. He only
advocating shunning when sinful behavior continued after offering help which was refused.
That’s pretty extreme in today’s culture.
