Majority will fail this kindergarten math

no, I got that from star trek its the speed called warp 9 in the ultrawarp engine she had (the ncc-1701 d). I don't think you would find that too much in the trek books since it was changed but it worked like this take the speed of the warp you want and power it by that number again ie warp 3 is the speed of light to the 3^3 or 27

So warp nine is 9^9 times the speed of light, then?
Okay, all of Star Trek happens inside our Galaxy, most of it within only one quadrant of it.
Our galaxy is 100.000 ly in diameter. The speed of light is app 300.000 km per second in vacuum. Warp 9 is 387,420,489 times the speed of light (9^9), so it's roughly 1,2 x 10^14 kilometers per second.
One Lightyear is 9,460 · 10^12 km. So with warp nine you'd make more distance per second than light naturally would in a year, roughly by the factor 13.
Light takes 100,000 years to cross the galaxy. With warp 9 you'd need 100.000/13 = 7692.3 seconds. That's like 2 hours. (Sorry for that messy 2:30 AM math).
They'd make it to the Andromeda nebula and back in less than a week.

So, did you ever watch the Voyager show? They got stranded not on the opposite end of the Galaxy, but somewhere in the delta quadrant, so maybe only 70.000 ly away. Yet they claim they'll need 70 years for their return, although as we just calculated they could just have hit the warp 9 button and gone straight for 2 hours, and by doing so would have prevented to most awful Trek TV show from happening.

that is why it was changed. I was watching voyager when I posted that. I did say that it was changed that is why. I liked voyager better then st:tng. why? it reminds me of the original where kirk was outgunned, out classed and talked his way out of a fight. met new aliens and so forth and wasn't as pc. he always out witted better opponents. both the Klingons and romulans had better ships and fire power then the federation is his day. the Klingon ships (not the birds of prey after the tos) were faster and more armed then enterprise

Write in words, 1009000100147
Let me think here; being that most probably learn to count to ten. Depending on what part of the country they live one could start off with ONE TWO THREE on up through ten and start over for the remaining three.

In some classes that could be replaced with UNO DOS TRES, etc.

Ohhhhhhh Nooooo!
example 1. Write in words, 1223449 = One Million, two hundred and twenty-three thousand four hundred and forty-nine. :D Now do the rest :lol

I know what I can write, but school children don't even learn to write in Cursive until the third grade. Can they print instead? and then I don't remember learning those words at that age; it was more at "See spot run - run Jane run."
