Mankind Paraded Their Sins Using Jesus Sitting On A Donkey
The only time people celebrated the presence of Jesus Christ on this earth was when he was riding a donkey through the streets of Jerusalem. Since Jesus Christ would soon become the recipient of all our sins, as all of mankind's sins would be placed upon Jesus Christ on the cross, Jesus Christ riding on a donkey represented all of our sins being paraded through the streets in front of a cheering crowd.
When one reads the passage in Isaiah 3:9 it is clear that Jesus is showing everyone, throughout the ages, that God (hint: Jesus is God become man) views all of our sins as just like the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Isaiah 3:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 The look on their faces testifies against them;
they parade their sin like Sodom;
they do not hide it.
Woe to them!
They have brought disaster upon themselves.
The participants of Sodom and Gomorrah weren't ashamed of any of their perversions and gross immorality for they celebrated their sins with a parade. It is the same today in churches that condone homosexuality and perform same sex marriages. Churches and Christian individuals still parade God (hint: through our indwelling Holy Spirit) through the streets celebrating the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah just like they did when Jesus Christ rode a donkey through the streets of Jerusalem.
Mankind paraded their sins using Jesus sitting on a donkey.....and it still continues to this day. Our Christian churches have devolved into man worshiping himself as he worships God. God placed his laws in our hearts and minds with the New Covenant, but not in our flesh. It is still our responsibility, not God's, to subject our flesh to the laws of God. Therefore we must always be diligent in examining our own conduct to make sure it is brought under the preview of God's will, which is why God created his church.
Consider that Jesus Christ first paraded through the streets of Jerusalem on a donkey. Then he dragged his cross through the streets of Jerusalem. What Jesus Christ did was march around the city of Jerusalem in exactly the same way that the Israelites marched around Jericho. The walls of Jericho eventually fell and so did the walls surrounding Jerusalem! Prophecy Fulfilled! Note: that the 7 days represent the perfection of God – namely the person of Jesus Christ and the Ark of the Covenant is the Holy Spirit that Jesus received upon his baptism (hint: Get Baptized!)
There is no difference between a procession, march, or parade in the bible for each highlights man's sinfulness and separation from God in some way.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who paraded our sins through the streets of Jerusalem in front of a celebratory crowd only to later have to drag his own cross through the streets in front of a jeering crowd.
Again, believe in Jesus Christ who placed all of our sins upon himself no matter how vile and disgusting in order to offer everyone forgiveness for their sins and life eternal with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit in heaven forever.
God Bless
