Math

Cool tim!

That is a funny joke Sparrow!

I am taking a college mathematics course, and I keep dreaming about solving problems...

Me too. That and I'm convinced the devil put the alphabet in the math. :P

Of course!!! I should've known that!!!

Get behind me (x + 2) !!!!!!!!!!

man you got to try calculus then. let see given:

x^3 +6x^2+15. to find the first deritave:
we get 3x^2+12x. have fun when and if you do get to some calculus.

That's correct, Jason. You get an A today.

Do you remember the first derivative tests and second derivative tests, i.e what they said about a curve?

vaguely the first finds the maximum and minimum extremes and the second tells you whether the curve is out ward and inward.

the only things that have no deritive is the function of ln "e" and logs base 10. I figured you would have done some calculus as your a newton fan and he started the idea of calculus.when I was done with the condensed version of calculus it was easy to graphic cubics and cuartics et all

ah its these, e, ln and log functions and a number to the x power that have no deritives. that drove me nuts until I remembered

And just to round out the subject, we had a guest preacher this past Sunday as ours is in Haiti. The gent's sermon was titled ... "Do the Math!" ... I about fell over laughing (but didn't cause I was in the sound booth and I'd have bonked my noggin on the sound board or other controls LOL) ...

My favorite :D
Found it in a book in the library in high school. Early 70's.
