Hey, I've been known to have a bowl of Cheerios with a sliced banana in it... for supper. LOL I know, I'm weird. 8-)

Actually, no you're not. My brother and I always had cereal in the evenings when we were kids. I also have some spoon-size Shredded Wheat and Bran with some almonds and a sliced banana for supper on occasion too. :P

And I snack on chips and doritos while reading the bible in the bathtub. I get 20 minutes a day in The Word, salt, some fats and who knows what else. Oh, and soap in my ears.
When a bible gets twice as thick or takes a dunk I get another "bathtub bible". And another bag o' chips.
:-D

Potluck, do NOT show us a picture of what you look like because I do not want a face to go with this image ingrained in my consciousness.

What is causing cancer and killing us are processed foods, steroids, chemicals, sugar, artificial sweetening and tocins in the food we eat mostly from man made materials.

Really, what 'toxins' would those be?

Doctors would tell you that 'too much fat' and 'cholestorol' will kill you. Show me the stats comparing the French and Japanese to that of North Americans. Fat and carbs galore in their diets but you don't see obesity, cancer and heart disease like you do over here.

The French eat less because they savor their food. They also do a lot of walking. Japanese don't eat a very fatty diet. They also eat less and walk a lot.

Well, I have been following this thread and quite enjoying it......As for me, I am a carnosaur So, I guess I will die of cancer soon....

I have eaten at some of the best Steak houses in the country including the Texas road house....

Have you looked at your shampoo bottle lately or a processed food package? There are so many chemicals and preservatives in our food and products that we are overloading our systems. That is why we get sick. That is why our bodies don't function. That is why we gain weight. That is why our bodies can't absorb nutrients properly. We are a toxic nation and we are suffering for it.

Blaming 'fat' and 'carbs' is not logical when we ingest chemicals daily.

So you're saying that as long as I 'savor' my food, I can eat all the cheese, bread and wine I want and all the fat and cholesterol will simply 'vanish' away?

Really, stray.

As far as the Japanese go, my point is that over here we have the 'low carb/no carb' nonsense diet going around because 'carbs are bad'. Yet we see that the Asian diet has LOTS of carbs and yet they are thin. It is not merely a matter of walking. It is the simple, proven fact that carbs are necessary for your body and don't cause you to get fat unless you have a steady diet of only simple carbs.

Moderation is the key.
