[__ Prayer __] Member missing in South Africa

This is terrible.
I can't say I got to know him well, but I am looking forward to seing him when our Lord returns. I am truly sorry for anyone who got to know him well. I"m praying for them, and his friends/family.

:pray

I debate with myself if I should say anything. Most people who will go and check out what Cornelius talked about will see that him and I went into some rather long discussions back and forth. So it could be mistaken that I might not have liked him. But that would be a false train of thought.

I like Cornelius. As others have stated I did not see eye to eye with him on a few things. But there were others, before that last discussion, where you could really see his heart plain and clear.

He was steadfast in his faith, something we could all learn a lesson about. I think that its safe to say his 'memory' will not be soon forgotten.

Just a thought here. I had a very good friend, a guy I spoke to a few times of week, die of a sudden brain aneurysm two years ago this past Tuesday. March 8, 2009. He was 38 years old, a husband, father and a Godly man. I remember pouring my heart out on Facebook and to all who would listen to me, that I wouldn't allow myself to take anyone I knew for granted again. It's too often after a tragic death that we reflect upon them in a way we should have during their days with us. Sadly, it didn't take long for me to get back in the practice of taking people for granted. :shame

Whether it's a close friend or someone we might have shared only a few posts with, I see this as yet another reason we should build each other up, and not dress each other down. The arguments and debates will continue, but even if it impacts us a little, it will be for the better. So too with the people we meet in our day. You never know how your words can leave a person feeling. Sharper than a blade.

When I first came here I had an attitude to say the least, but God has shown me that if I do not have love for my brethren and others, then I should not be here or any place because I, and all of us, are the light of the world and we should avoid causing another to stumble.
So God has changed my heart, through older more mature brothers and sisters, especially C, and I praise God for that.
I agree, Mike, as believers, we won't always agree on every piece of doctrine, but we can still let His love show through on our posts.
peace.

I think it's the connection we have through the Spirit.

Rockie, I think it is such a blessing just to hear how Cornelius made a significant impact in other people`s lives through this forum. So as Jason said, it makes one realize a difference can be made here. So what we post and how we respond to people here should not be taken lightly because even the written word over the computer screen can reach into a person`s heart for the good or the bad. As Christians our words should be for the good. It sounds like Cornelius was able to leave that example for all of us to remember and learn from here on this forum or any forum where we interact with people.

I never thought about this, but one time C told me, as you have said here, it is fellowshipping with the brethren, and it being a distance and not in an intimate setting we are more comfortable arguing and fighting, but if we were in a room, face to face, that we would not treat one another like we can here. Even if we can not see one another face to face, we still love them in Christ from afar and be the light and the salt of the world, and it tends to make a bigger impact because it's written out there for everyone to see, believers and non-believers alike, so being extra careful with our words on a forum is even more important.

This is true. It is a literal example of what is said in the Bible about our words. Online we know that we can "delete" words, but there is always a way to recover those things we thought are gone. In heaven EVERY word we speak is being recorded, not just the ones on here.

Mat 12:36-37 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, or by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Cornelius and I spoke via pm before. I believe he was comfortable with how it is I interact with people. We all have different personalities. But we all have a connection via the Spirit. Cornelius knew about the word of God being sharp. I can say that I would be the same on here or in person. And I believe Cornelius was too.

I am sure he was a pleasant guy to be around. Sometimes I have not liked the part of the body I am. But I think that he genuinely understood me, and there are not many on here that are like that. Its even harder in person to be yourself verses on here. I am thankful I can be apart of a site like this, and I know he was too.

But I think that he genuinely understood me, and there are not many on here that are like that.

That is a powerful statement and testimony because many times even those we see face to face on a regular basis we can`t say that about. In fact, sometimes even family members can`t say that about one another. But when we walk with God closely, God can help us understand and see into another person. Perhaps even through the computer you could detect that about Cornelius.

I am asking everyone to join with me in prayer for Cornelius' family as they gather together in South Africa. Please pray for peace, comfort and strength for them that they are able to get through this time, and for direction in all they need to do.

Please pray for the murderers that in this they would fall to their knees in conviction and be saved.

Guys, they found the murderers.

Eyewitness News: Cornelius Bosch

Do you think you can post the article online, the link does not work for me. It could be because of where I live not all links work here.

Anyway, I praise God that the murderers were found and justice can be served and a sense of closure can come to the family; although I`m sure it is hard too for the family to see the story in the news. So tragic. May God strengthen and comfort this family during this very trying time.

Artist's assistant arrested for murder: News24: South Africa: News

This is not his art assistant, I think this guy helped him around his home and gardens.

The link worked Rockie. Thank you. How sad it was to read he was betrayed by someone who knew him.

But on a more cheerful note, here is a link to him telling his personal testimony in his home. It was his final media interview so even his final words to the media brought all glory and praise to God. Maybe this is the way he`d want to be remembered!

Unleavened Bread Ministries - Cornelius Bosch, UBM Elder in South Africa, Is Now Home

Yes, I watched this yesterday and this is who C was, a fitting memorial for him.
