Strengthening families through biblical principles.
Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

I debate with myself if I should say anything. Most people who will go and check out what Cornelius talked about will see that him and I went into some rather long discussions back and forth. So it could be mistaken that I might not have liked him. But that would be a false train of thought.
I like Cornelius. As others have stated I did not see eye to eye with him on a few things. But there were others, before that last discussion, where you could really see his heart plain and clear.
He was steadfast in his faith, something we could all learn a lesson about. I think that its safe to say his 'memory' will not be soon forgotten.
Just a thought here. I had a very good friend, a guy I spoke to a few times of week, die of a sudden brain aneurysm two years ago this past Tuesday. March 8, 2009. He was 38 years old, a husband, father and a Godly man. I remember pouring my heart out on Facebook and to all who would listen to me, that I wouldn't allow myself to take anyone I knew for granted again. It's too often after a tragic death that we reflect upon them in a way we should have during their days with us. Sadly, it didn't take long for me to get back in the practice of taking people for granted.
Whether it's a close friend or someone we might have shared only a few posts with, I see this as yet another reason we should build each other up, and not dress each other down. The arguments and debates will continue, but even if it impacts us a little, it will be for the better. So too with the people we meet in our day. You never know how your words can leave a person feeling. Sharper than a blade.
no, his memory wont. i often wondered if this forum meant something to all here. now i have my answer. i thought it was strange to get attached to members here.now, i see that i'm not the only one.
I think it's the connection we have through the Spirit.
Rockie, I think it is such a blessing just to hear how Cornelius made a significant impact in other people`s lives through this forum. So as Jason said, it makes one realize a difference can be made here. So what we post and how we respond to people here should not be taken lightly because even the written word over the computer screen can reach into a person`s heart for the good or the bad. As Christians our words should be for the good. It sounds like Cornelius was able to leave that example for all of us to remember and learn from here on this forum or any forum where we interact with people.
I never thought about this, but one time C told me, as you have said here, it is fellowshipping with the brethren, and it being a distance and not in an intimate setting we are more comfortable arguing and fighting, but if we were in a room, face to face, that we would not treat one another like we can here. Even if we can not see one another face to face, we still love them in Christ from afar and be the light and the salt of the world, and it tends to make a bigger impact because it's written out there for everyone to see, believers and non-believers alike, so being extra careful with our words on a forum is even more important.
But I think that he genuinely understood me, and there are not many on here that are like that.
Try this link:Do you think you can post the article online, the link does not work for me. It could be because of where I live not all links work here.
Anyway, I praise God that the murderers were found and justice can be served and a sense of closure can come to the family; although I`m sure it is hard too for the family to see the story in the news. So tragic. May God strengthen and comfort this family during this very trying time.
The link worked Rockie. Thank you. How sad it was to read he was betrayed by someone who knew him.
But on a more cheerful note, here is a link to him telling his personal testimony in his home. It was his final media interview so even his final words to the media brought all glory and praise to God. Maybe this is the way he`d want to be remembered!
