Heard dispensational all my life, 64 years now, accepted it as Truth. Slowly some learning … Scofield’s notes are not scripture, they actually contradict scripture. (that would be another thread) We as Christians have for years been looking for a King just as the Jews of old were… Some one to lead us to peace, from bondage, to spare us from evil….They were in slaved to the Romans looking for liberation. He came and didn’t ‘do it’ their way so He was rejected. The Word tells us very plainly The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Rom. 14:17. We Christians as a group are looking for the same escape as the Jews. I believe without understanding it, we are rejecting our King and His kingdom. I believe dispensational teaching is a major part of that misunderstanding.

Dispensational teaching would have us believe the Cross of Christ is/was a burp, second thought, something like that yet scripture is clear with type after type the Cross was a plan from the beginning.

That is utterly false regarding dispensational thought. We all believe the cross was planned from the begiinning.

The scriptures tell us that there will be no more wars between humans ever again ---PEACE will come---all because Jesus will now be the one and only supreme Ruler of this world. We are also shown that all of God’s laws will be going forth from Jerusalem to all of the nations of the world. Jesus Himself will be the One to judge between the nations.

It says that we will no longer “learn war anymore.†People will no longer have to be afraid of anyone or anything, and everyone will be able to live safely under his vine and fig tree. It says that our “swords will be beat into plowshares and our spears into pruning hooks.â€

We will truly have heaven on earth in this environment. It also says that Jesus will teach us all of His ways and we will all learn how to walk in His paths.

Micah 4:1-4 NLT

The Lord’s Future Reign

1 In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house
will be the highest of all—
the most important place on earth.
It will be raised above the other hills,
and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.
2 People from many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of Jacob’s God.
There he will teach us his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.â€
For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion;
his word will go out from Jerusalem.
3 The Lord will mediate between peoples
and will settle disputes between strong nations far away.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
nor train for war anymore.
4 Everyone will live in peace and prosperity,
enjoying their own grapevines and fig trees,
for there will be nothing to fear.
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies
has made this promise!

Sounds like this would take place after the millenium.
After Gog is destroyed on the mountains of Israel and after Jerusalem comes down from God.
After the Gog -Magog war of Revelation 20;8-9.

No, it refers to the Millennium.

Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Rightly dividing the word will reveal that the Lord Jesus continually reiterates that He did not come to rule as a political ruler.

He will, however, take rulership over all nations on earth literally for 1000 years as an interim period of his forever position He has always had.

lets not take this out of context.

Jn 18;35
Pilate answerd,Am I a jew?Thine own nation and chief priests have deliverd thee unto me;what hast thou done?

Jesus was giving Pilate an answer.
Pilate first asked Jesus if he were the king of the jews in verse 33.
Jesus asked Pilate if he believed it it or did someone else tell him he was.
Then Pilate said Jesus's own people deliverd him to be killed in verse 35.
Jesus was saying in the verse you quoted that they were not of his kingdom.
IF THEY WERE ,THEY WOULD FIGHT FOR HIM.

Rightly dividing the word will reveal that the Lord Jesus was telling His followers that He did not come to rule as a political ruler.

In the Words of our Lord Jesus

Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Despinsational teaching i guess figures Jesus doesn't understand how to 'rightly divide the Word

No, it refers to the Millennium.

Sorry .It cant be or it would then be wrong.
For There are many nations involved in the Gog Magog war that takes place.
In the verse you quoted ,there is no war.

Thus it must take place after the war.

Jesus answerd who?
What question was he answering?
Quit taking it out of context.

Shilo...

I post the chapter and verse so the context is there. To keep most Scripture in total context we would be posting the whole Bible.

Found the signature 'button', and stated the position.

So the NT should be full of quotes from the apostles teaching this. Funny such things are so hard to find.

God has always dealt with man by what we call 'dispensations'. Jesus surely understands it. You do not.

Once again, that is a very weird comment, and has no basis.
You're backpedling again. I'll wager your dont think a kingdom on earth surrounded by sin and death is or can be as glorious as where our Lord is today. Even though that is what you posted earlier.

Sorry, but the passage discusses war among men which would cease. The war in question is not a war between nations, but an INTENTION of a war of the nations aligned together, led by Satan to defeat Jesus, the King.

Really ? Where exactly in scripture does Jesus define and dlineate these 'dispensations ' ?

He didnt ? Ok . Where exactly in scripture do the apostles define and delineate these 'dispensations ' ?

What do you mean, 'again'? I don't get your comment. It makes no sense.

WE call them dispensations for our own understanding. God just enacts them. If you don't like it, no problem, but you cannot castigate people who enjoy the order in dispensations.
