miracles are shrugged off

That's the conclusion I've come. The medical establishment, secular society, and those in and of the world just shrug off miracles. Freak of nature. Good luck. Unusual. Statistical outlier. Whatever. There's always a way to "explain" away little hints of God's existence and intervention in our lives. That's my theory (I'm sure other Christians have come to this conclusion, too).

What do y'all think?

I wish i didnt agree ... Ya know what CE ? Dr. Ben Carson believes in miracles .... He cant be the only one....

I mean, in a way, it doesn't matter, right? Born Again Christians know that Christ is still very much in the miracle working business. I imagine that, amongst themselves, docs and other "experts" will admit that there's some "higher power."

I tend to do that, too.
God is such a huge and crazy (in a good way) concept, that I'd rather rule out all natural explanations just to make sure it was really Him.

It's funny, earlier last year my pastor talked about a conversation he had with his doctor that eventually led to him telling the doctor, "I'm sorry, but you've got to be a moron to see the things you see day in and day out and not even have the slightest belief in God."

Not the most diplomatic way to put it, but sums up my feelings pretty well in a lot of cases.
