What if we don't hear God telling us what to do?
Then most likely you won’t have the faith to get healed.

What if we don't hear God telling us what to do?
It's easier to blame me than to blame God I guess. Then most likely you won’t have the faith to get healed.
Faith comes by hearing...
Why even attend a church that tells someone they don't have enough faith? I don't care for WofF denominations...they make persons doubt their faith in God. When someone is sick, they have enough problems to deal with - their church should be helping them...not criticizing them.
Yes, WofF is Word of Faith.Your question is as good as mine. I don't think many if any people at my church know or remember my medical issues. I have never known them to say I lacked faith. I started hearing this junk when I was on the internet.
What is WofF? Word of Faith? I don't know recognize this.
Faith come by hearing does not apply to cases of hearing God for a healing...it applies to hearing the Word of God so we could achieve a saving faith in God...
It's not helpful at all to tell someone they don't have enough faith.
Yes, WofF is Word of Faith.
It's those churches that believe that God is to respond to our every need and whim and desire. It's not US that serve HIM,,,but it's HE that serves US...a kind of Santa.
And when healings don't happen because it's not in the will of God, the person is told THEY don't have enough faith. Jesus said that God's will would be done in the Garden,,,not His will.
I know many persons with a genuine faith and a love for God that far exceeds what I myself believe to have...and yet they too have gotten sick and eventually we all must die. We don't just drop one day....most times we get sick first.
It's not helpful at all to tell someone they don't have enough faith.
It just makes those that are insecure doubt their own faith and possibly their salvation. We need encouragement, not doubt.
LOLI see. There are two f's...is that for fundamental then?
Yes, I'd have to agree with you.I've witnessed 3 healings in my life so far. The first one was at a Catholic church in Corpus Christi and it was me who was healed. I went to go see Joe Donato. He was a guest speaker and was going to have a healing service immediately afterward. I was mostly attending due to fascination and as an observer. When the healing service began, Joe looked right at me and said someone there had a stomach problem, which I did, and said the Lord had already begun healing. My stomach was tingling inside as I frantically looked around to see who was being healed. Joe said the Lord was only partially healing and wanted the person to come down and accept their healing in public as a witness. He still was staring straight at me. I wished he would stop and that someone else would raise their hand and go down there. I didn't go there for that. I only wanted to observe. I was healed right then and there. No faith. No hands laid on me.
God heals whom He will. Let no man set himself between God and whom He chooses for whatever purpose.
Yes, JLB, I'm waiting on God to do it.I agree.
If we have faith as a grain of mustard seed, we can say to the mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea and it will be done.
The reason we have faith to do this is because God has spoken to us to remove the mountain.
That’s why we can say to the mountain...
Sometimes God moves upon us to say to the mountain but we don’t say what God says.
We are waiting on Him to do it.
JLB
LOL
NO.....
It's W of F !
Only one F for faith....
You're right!Okay, just wondering because I saw WofF, not WoF.
The above is how it is CE.this is such a hard one, for all Christians.
why are some healed in this lifetime and others...aren't?
yet another personal example (mostly because I don't talk to a lot of other Christians, so my experience is what I have to go on...)...
I"m physically healthy now, bright eyed, surprisingly smart, I even have a normal personality, social skills, etc. problem? Well...I can't support myself, largely because of what society and the shrinks call "Schizoaffective Disorder." weird...because I used to be so obviously brain damaged and all, now I'm not so obviously brain damaged, I speak and write well, etc....
but, yeah: Schizoaffective.
and...a close Christian friend of mine was spared death a couple times (long time Christian). A money hungry specialist saw her excellent medical coverage and pushed a treatment on her (1 time injection or infusion), even though she fell firmly in the category of people who -should not- be given this treatment...
and for a while, she was under the care of -7- doctors. now, she's down to 2 or 3 specialists and a skilled general practitioner, plus on a couple daily Rx to stay out of dialysis. that doesn't include periodic antibiotics for problems that arise because of the mix of pre-existing stuff (in her medical history) and the unfortunate infusion.
so, spared death...again, awesome. not so much spared needless suffering. and...
another Christian I know of was healed of stage II or III lung cancer, before his scheduled operation. yay! 30 years later...
late stage Parkinsons. :-(
Jesus Himself said to keep asking as in the parable
of the persistent widow...Luke 18:1....
Hi Who Me...
Great point!
I've never even thought of this.
I'd also like to say that I don't feel anyone has to go anywhere to be healed....God cold heal us right where we are; unless, of course, for some reason a person feels they should go to a particular place. I'm not one of them - if God wants to heal me, He can do it while I'm in my own home.
I do wonder why these words were put in scripture...
James 5:13-16, as you quoted.
Perhaps persons were being healed more at that time than today?
For James to state this, it certainly had to be true and functional.
I have no answer, but trust in God.
God might have healed me once...is He required to heal me every time I ask?
I think it depends on how much of a circus is going on.They had practically no medicine in those days so miraculus healing was important both to save lives and as a witness.
Today we can heal illnesses that killed most people.
What sort of witness does the healing circuses give?
