Modest clothing

How many women are truly going to be honest with the world and with God and wear a biege wedding gown if they are not a virgin?

Not only are the wedding gowns low cut now with cleavage showing but they don't have a back in them.Go figure...

How many white wedding gowns would be bought if a woman was really honest? Two a year?

:lol White wedding gowns are a statement of purity (virginity). In our western culture it must be a rare occasion for a virgin to get married. So most of them should be a different color. Blue, yellow, whatever. Anything but white, and yet, white wedding gowns are the ones you see 99.9% of the time.

How about black?

Yes,but everyone ignores that fact. The veil that hides the face also has to do with purity but that is ignored too.

That's like robbery of a sort. The claim of wholesomeness and purity is like unto gold. The women want the gold without the responsibility. Respect is earned, and the white wedding gown is a badge of purity. But they put it on anyway. That's not right. I have seen some colored wedding gowns and they were nice. What's the big deal deal?

I think you are right. To wear a white wedding gown is earned. And just think how much fun the honeymoon would be?

That's very pretty. But it's a unusual wedding gown colour in western cultures... unless it is a very special wedding, like between two professed goths.
But we usually wear black at funerals to express grief. So if a bride shows up in black people will think she's sad about getting married or planning on murdering her husband during the wedding night.
