moment of silence

do you have the moment of silence at school?
do you utilize the time to pray?
how do you feel about pledging to the flag?

Yes, we had the moment of silence at my school. I didn't use it to pray most of the time, unfortunately. The pledge would always come right after the moment of silence, and I will not say it. The only one I pledge allegience to is the Lord.

I am standing right with confident_in_Christ. I will never again pledge allegiance to the flag. My only allegiance is to the One True God.

For even if so be that there are those being termed gods, whether in heaven or on earth, even as there are many gods and many lords, nevertheless for us there is one God, the Father, out of Whom all is, and we for Him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through Whom all is, and we through Him. (I Corinthians 8:5-6)

Dear brother and sisters, don't forget all that Paul taught us. And most importantly remember what Christ said. Christ wanted us to show our allegiance to Him by being subservient to the government HE SET UP FOR US. I have nothing against not reciting the pledge, but do not think you are doing some holy and godly act by not saying it. Animosities towards the Government God set up a bad name for the church.

It is not evil for someone holding a civil position to assert allegiance. Ought not the President assert his nations subjugation to God? Ought a soldier trust that God will keep his servants safe? Christian Boy Scouts, baring the cross in their hearts, display the Flag their shoulders.

As long as Christians recite the pledge God will honor their loyalty to their country under God.

We have no silent time in my school.

I pray ANY TIME I remember the word Prayer.

And Gendou, CIC. Let us not draw lines of War between our fellow Christians that have no place among brothers and sisters. While I do not recite the Pledge in school, I am compelled, as a man who honors his word, to recite the pledge while I am in uniform. Any uniformed Christian who refuses to recite his own vows is not Honoring nor trusting the LORD to maintian his Servant through grace.

Good questions. It's good to see my brothers and sisters thinking.

uhhhhhh

Sometimes I feel so confused about the moment of silence. I mainly just sort of play around do whatever I want to do, I don't really see the need sometimes, stuff like that seems so superficial sometimes when the person underneath that pious skin is a hypocritical , wretched soul. The pledge, irks me,they teach it to us when we're young and don't know what it means, but as you get older you realize you're pledging to a society which seems ambivalent in every way. :-?

we have a moment of silence. I sometimes pray during it, and I say the pledge because it just feels respectful, though my true allegiance lies within my King Jesus Christ

Yes, we have it. I used to pray everyday, but I just stopped. I don't see what's wrong with pledging to the flag. I do it.
