A little off subject here but this came to mind. I have often seen people listen to someone praying very loudly to God and heard them say "I wish I had faith like that". It's funny how people define faith. Faith isn't really how strongly WE HOLD on to God. Faith is actually ACKNOWLEDGING the promises of God and accepting and submitting to them. Faith is actually acknowledging how greatly GOD IS HOLDING onto us. Here is an example:
In a small Texas town there hadn't been rain for half of the year. So the Pastor asked the 50 or so members of the church to assemble outside of town the next day so they could pray for rain. The next day the members gathered as requested and many of them began screaming loudly to God--actually trying to outdo one another--as they cried to him for rain. They expressed their faith in God, with the Pastor adding his loud prayer at the end.
Within this crowd of people was one 5 year old girl with an umbrella. No one else had brought one. Ask yourself--who displayed more faith---the little girl, or the other 49 members?
