Morality without God?

off topic, im a libertarian but not because I agree with it. because the fact remains we cant force man to love god, we allow idolatry in our first amendment rights. we can make all manner of sin illegal it wont save a soul.

Jason taking your post to the limits, as you often do to posts, by the standard you state we should then do away with any law that happens to also deal with sin? murder is already against the law and it is a sin... the age of the victim seems have have bearing ...:shame

I know abortion was around before 1973 the USA at that time considered it to be a crime now as a nation we consider it to be a right.... disgusting i know you agree

yes I understand that but we cant force them to change. god didn't plan for divorce yet allowed it due to hard hardiness of man.

So we change the laws or just not have any laws? Do to mans sinful nature? Where is the line? I am greedy by the hardness of my heart so i have a right to anything you have?

we ALL pick and choose what we want to enforce. does the Lord give man the right to worship devils? the first amendment, not god, gave man that right.it was done because of the horrible problems of a theocractic state. but none the less we cant have a state faith. yes we need order but really we must be honest and adult here

I will use sex as the basis of my argument. lets be real. we all know and worked with fornicators, adulters and the lbgt. do we then fire them for doing as such? do we then not allow man to choose whom to live with and have a relationship with?

were do we draw the line. im not advocating that we support it but we cant exactly by human reason nor ability stop a man living with man. do we then take a child from a fornicator? I can attest of an major issue with my wifes family over that part. she the mother is a fornicator, drunkard, her sons shall think its ok for a man to lie with a woman, not marry and have kids and not take care of them. not because of she says it ok but because their dad isn't there. how exactly can the government stop that? it cant.

jail the man who fails to pay? what does that do? nothing. it makes it worse as now he has no job to pay and is still not in the picture, though some may change and do the right thing.

So again i ask should we as a people do away with all laws?
im not arguing for anarchy. im just saying we must decide what is enforceable realistically. we are QUITE POWERLESS to stop a lot of things wrong with America.

if we really want to stop the drug culture we would have to first hit Hollywood up , then we would have to be the light and also have ministries powerful enough to draw men out of that. we simply cant ban movies that promote sin. but we can as a people not go to them. imagine this. if Hollywood made a movie making fun of our lord and few or none watched it? it would send the message loud and clear. Hollywood makes a ton of junk about human violence. but never about mans violence to animals shown as entertainment. why is that? because their worldview wont allow it.

I have not spoke of banning movies or even the ugliness of drugs but of the murder of 57 million lives .

We are to put on the armor of God and stand.... those verses imply to me to not bend with the winds of man kind....

im pro life. never implied otherwise. but well the means of changing that is a long road. doable

I know Jason :thumbsup
I see no harm in having 'pro life' laws. Understanding it will not end abortion nor cure all of mans sinful nature. The same way government laws do not end stealing , rape , murder, and other abuses.
