What happened to 'the graven images' command?

Sput if you will look in our catechism, it is a part of the first commanment to have no false God's before you. Isn't that what a graven image that one worshipped would be. Therefore it seems an appropriate association. Noone removed or hides anything except from the perspective of outsiders with an axe to grind.

Outsiders? Is that any nonCatholic? I would say that a statue of any person who is deified would be a graven image, thess. Are the statues of Mary a 'graven image'? And, I don't particularly have an ax to grind with catholics.

Besides the 'graven image' command and the splitting of ONE commandment into TWO I also referred to the 4th-commandment concerning the Sabbath in my post, thess. While I don't believe that 'the Lord's Day' of *Revelation 1:10 refers to Sunday (this issue has been discussed at length previously) the Catholic Church AND most of mainstream Christianity DO believe this to be the case.

As I said in my post, the tampering of the 4th-commandment in order to uphold Sunday as the Sabbath is tantamount to blasphemy. What's more, this glaring example of blasphemy has all but been ignored by others on this thread. I wonder why?

Furthermore, that one 'sleeps' in their grave until the resurrection (at the second coming of Jesus) is NOT an SDA belief, thess. It's totally scriptural. According to the Bible, Mary is neither in heaven nor hell. She is currently resting in the grave.

* "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day (Revelation 1:10)" is (highly) likely referring to 'the day of the Lord' as in the second coming of Jesus. It is less likely referring to the 7th-day Sabbath. I have very good Baptist friends! Think of the freedom allowed all of us on the forum here even. And of the Pentecostal & church of God, the old time ones are going through a real liberal shaking time themselves. 2 Timothy 3:1-5. And inside the Adventist denomination, my wife & I have many family members that we truly also love, but we see Christ telling the Universe, who are the [most] guilty of His people!

And it is true that the time will come if it has not already, for each & every one of these ones to pass their probation first & before the worlds testing of 666. (see 1 Peter 4:17)
So we need to have all of these folks truly understand [our] motive of posting & warnings! We need to have them understand that the reason is that of REAL LOVE on our part, as seen in Luke 19:40-41 "And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that, [if these] should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
And when He came near, He beheld the city, [and He wept over it], ..."

And it is true that the truth must be told! Yet, the reason must be understood that we know that time is running out & what MUST be done, must be done quickly & clearly! Jesus wept over all of these who were to be slaughtered in 70 AD. But mostly for the ones that were to be lost eternally in the second death! Do we have this 'sorrow' for our reason? Do we LOVE enough to cry over our friends & love ones that are making final decisions? Especially the ones of Luke 12:47-48 & Revelation 3:16-17? It seems to me that this work is to be two/fold, but [first for our own!]

Or are we out & about, doing as Christ recorded in Matthew 23:15?? How can the Revelation 18:4 message be given to the world by a 'fold' that is doing far worse? If one believes Christ in Luke 12:47-48?

I am not going to bother derailing this thread in to soul sleep. It's been refuted plenty of times by others and still you hold to your heretical view.

You ARE right, John. This IS a serious business. But it's also serious that 'man' tossed out God's Sabbath and replaced it with his own 'holy day'. The 'funny' part (funny as in ironic) is that the knockers of the RCC (MANY mainstream Christians) have no qualms at participating in this 'holy day.' It's my understanding that the RCC even acknowledges this hypocrisy of mainstream Christianity in its Catechism.

To those who haven't got a clue what I'm talking about ...you all keep Sunday as your Sabbath thanks to the RCC. God had nothing to do with this. The VERY ones who have changed the Ten Commandments to suit themselves, the VERY ones who you criticize on threads such as this, are the VERY ones who you support in this important matter. You can take Mary into your home, or you can close the door in her face and ridicule those who accept her. The choice is yours.

What would Mary be doing at my door, and how could I be sure it was her? She'd have to look like the Mary popularized in Catholic images, or else I wouldn't know who she was. But then, the Catholic Mary image is just made up so if she looked like that then she couldn't really be Mary. A dilemma.

Besides, exactly what would be involved in "taking Mary into my home"? Would she be wanting to put little pictures of herself in every room? With candles? I don't think that's gonna work. And I'm watching "The Sopranos" no matter what she says.

But no, I wouldn't shut the door in her face. I would have too many questions.

Why don't we add v. 18 to the mix John.

Well now wait. If the psalmist is alive and then is your kind of dead, then how is he ever going to "bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore"? How can the dead bless the Lord John? God is not God of the dead but of the living as I recall and Jesus calls himself God of Abraham, AFTER Abraham was "dead". Now if it is your kind of "dead" then once again contradiction. But then you have become quite good at ignoring contradiction. Of course the truly dead don't praise and bless God when they are dead. Moses and Elijah were spiritually dead at the transfiguation? The beggar in the bosom of Abraham (and Abraham) fit these passages as you interpret them John?

How much rejected 'striving' time will God allow for these that are blessed with so much 'light', as he has given in these last days, is the question? Israel was allotted 'in the midst of the week', or seven times as a church fold, before their fold became desolate of Christ. Matthew 23:38

So: There is no doubt about the Revelation 3:9 ones or Catholicism as a church being cut off. But in order for any of the yoked membership to be saved, the individual must be found in the Revelation 18:4's group that separates or be lost eternally!

And it just seems that the more Bible Truth one posts, some readers just become more hardened? See Hosea 4:6 in the K.J.
