Women at the time were getting married once they reached puberty. You cannot take something that happened 1400 years ago and apply it to today's context. It's utter nonsense and will only lead to misconceptions.

So you now say that having sex with a 9 year old child is NOT what you would follow nor is it a "beautiful pattern of (conduct)".

Do you need to take those verses out of the Quran now?

You are taking that Surah out of context. We must follow Muhammad (saw) that's the truth. However that doesn't mean we have to marry a 9 year old. Are we allowed to? Who knows. Would I? No. Times have changed like i've reiterated several times. I get turned on looking at 20 year old luscious women. I'd stick to women my age. 8-)

So why do you not follow Muhammad? By implication, if you do NOT follow Muhammad, then you obviously do not love Allah.

As a matter of fact, she's the most pure woman in Islam. The fact that she gave birth when she was only 9 goes to show you how common it was.
