now. keep in mind that the konar province was never fully in control under the taliban.
they are rather independent on much. as they seem to be more open at times and also closed on alot of things

no, not in kunar, nor in jalalbad province, google the nuranstani. these guys are whiter then me. and they are descendents of the greeks that came with alexander the great. they general arent muslim though and dont speak pashto or dari but are fluent in nuranstani. they never mate with those outside their tribe.

we had a store on the compound run by the a man named kahlel who whore a ten gallon hat. he was from nuristan and spoke pashto and nuristani and dari.

i called him superman as that was his name on krypton(kahlel). he also was good at ride horses and that sport like polio, only a goat is used(live). i almost bought a donkey from him.

but the donkeys and mules will come later.

the nuristan province is near kunar is so high in altitude that helicopters can barely reach this region.

the prt i was with did missions there usually two week deal. i never went there. i stayed in the abad compound as my mission was resupply coordinations.
