And what makes a person better suited to his environment? The defective babies that are born everyday? Do evolutionists even think? :o

If such a defect were say being born small and requiring less food to survive it might give them an advantage in an environment where food is in short supply.

The theory was invented to say that human beings "evolved" from primitive animals (which is why they are called primates) who are still in the jungles or zoos where man put them and tried to explain how the human being who has a a myriad more abilities than an ape, got those extra traits.

Please show me where an evolutionist says that humans evolved from animals that are in jungles or zoos. No evolutionist says this because the animals we evolved from are extinct.

Wrong :(

Animals don't "improve". They only become more fit for their environment. Fish are pretty well suited for the water, but they don't do so well on land.

Oh? So are people with disabilities "fit" for their environment? :o Could they exist on their own or do people have to help take care of them? So again, how are humans more fit today than they've ever been ince the beginning of recorded history? :o Yet thousands of years ago, man lived much longer than we do today! And we are also closer to annihilating ourselves than ever before. So the theory of evolution is bunk. Not only can none of it be proven, but it acutally contradicts the way the world works.

What are you talking about, Heidi?

Remember: the individual is the unit of selection, the population is the unit of evolution.

People with disabilities are individuals. If they breed successfully and have an inheritable condition, they will effect the evolution of the population.

But that isn't what usually happens, is it?

People's overall life expectancies were very short in earlier times. It is only recently that almost everyone in our population has been making it past 50 years old.

Go and dig up some old (like older than 200 years) skeletons and estimate their age at death... you get to be pretty impressed at how advanced medicine and adequate nutrition means you've a better chance of surviving to see your grandkids grow up.

Oh, and 'primate' comes from 'prima'- first or highest, not 'primitive'.
