Ok,
So our church had given us some money to give to our neighbors because everyone lost food. The money they gave was to help restore what was lost.
It was good... some single mothers just about broke down and cried. College student was so overjoyed that somebody actually cared. Others refused the $50 gift cards.
But we got to meet the neighbors.
They were shocked that we really didn't want anything other than to just give them some money. One household was really suspicious.
I told them that they could wave at me if they seen me... wasn't going to require a smile.
All in all a good day.

WOW!!! I was just looking at all the pictures of the clouds rolling in and all the damage. Praying for all involved and glad you have electric restored.

Exactly,.. life is a highway and even though there might be some rough unexpected turns that you have to make, everybody usually always seems to make it to the end of the road regardless. :wink

Blackouts are not fun. sorry to hear Tennessee suffering again. sometimes sufferings come all at once. Patience of Job required?

I bought a propane cook stove...I also already had a couple of stovetop percolators for my coffee and enough experience using them to make my own coffee.
During the last power outage I shared a picture of me cooking scrambled eggs in a cast iron skillet and coffee in one of the percolators with my friends.
I got a feeling that some of them were doing the same thing this morning.
