No one is qualified to be addressed as Reverend

Missing the point.
Not at all. If anyone had a right to be called Rabbi or Master, it was the apostles, since they had been taught directly by Christ. Yet they were FORBIDDEN to do so. How much more ministers of the Word today? Today's equivalent is Reverend or Right Reverend.

The word you for call a person who teaches is what in your church?call no master in Latin is the word for teacher. Yet that's an office.so I should my dad by his first name?the bible says call no man father which in aramaic is abba.English translation is dad, father.see your problem?

We are to respect God only as it is the Holy Spirit that gives the gifts to us and works through us. Jesus is our master and to Him only is glory and honor given to His name alone.

Psalms 111:9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

1Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

In hebrew the word teacher would be rabbi. You can revere and place a person in such a level as they are your reverend and not call them that.said teacher falters you quit the faith. It does happen.

When scripture says only God is to be called Father as in all of creation and Jesus to be called Master as He ministers the word of God as being the word made flesh then only the Father and Master will receive praise and glory. No where did the Holy Spirit give the gifts of Father or Master or Rabbi or Priest to anyone. If God is no respecter of man then why should we be. Those who teach us I will respect the Spirit that works through them, but not them themselves.

The office is what it is.do you not call your Sunday school teacher that if you had that.you dint have to adress them like that all the time but I bet if you are speaking and its a position of authority given to you and I disrupt you will correct me.you claim all the time to be taught by God and post.yet deny that you at times are one who teaches .thus a rabbi.it's nit ,nor was it ever the title .it was the usurping of the authority.Jesus said call no man rabbi, yet he himself was a rabbi.and taught.the word to teach in hebrew is simply rabbi.

Btw the fact in the bible God gives children to men implies that being a father is indeed a gift,or ministry.note Lower case usage.I do think you all failing to see what I'm getting at.

I have no kids of my own.not all are called to be parents. A father of a child is called by God and held accountable to be the man who raises them in the fear of the lord.this doesn't mean he is their God.but the concept of father in the sense of a ministry is in a similar manner.

I know what you mean by the upper and lower case, but what I am getting at is how some people put their Pastor on a pedestal, but yet would not even recognize Jesus if he walked in the door. I consider myself a teacher as that is what God has called me to be, but also a student of the word of God as the Holy Spirit teaches me either directly or through others who have that anointing to teach.

I was a licensed Evangelist at one time many years ago for the purpose of Prison Ministry, but the only respect I required was not the title, but was that the inmates would behave themselves, as many did disrupt at times and I would have to take authority over them, not for myself, but for those who were there to learn.

That's all I'm saying

Like this?
Gal_4:19 my little children, of whom again I travail in birth, till Christ may be formed in you,
1Jn_2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one,

I'd say using a title like reverend is taking things a bit too far.
I prefer calling people by their names (but then again, Norway has less hierarchy i.e. in the workplace than the US, so it is probably very much a cultural difference)
