so says CS Lewis, at any rate.

:-)

I'm not really sure what this means, but even if there was such thing as ordinary people, I would not be one of them. :lol

I didn't read the linked article (too busy) but I have heard this subject talked about a few times from respected Pastors. As I understand it, There really are no ordinary people and every one of us are as unique as a fingerprint. That each one of us was created by God to fill a specific part in the Lords heart, and that His purpose for each of us is something that no one else could do. Also that all of the people who rejected the Lord's calling and will be condemned...will leave an empty spot in the Lord's heart.

That's not necessarily dogmatic, but it makes sense to me so I tend to believe it.

I was also thinking along the same line as you. We were all created in God's image which is love and also each of us are unique in all our qualities. Unfortunately many have turned from God and have chosen their own paths which will lead to their destruction. Neighbors are not my burden, but my burden is to love my neighbor no matter how they treat me as I need to allow the light of Christ shine through me that others can see the joy of the Lord in my heart. Our neighbor is not just those who live beside us, but everyone one that is in the world as God created everyone, but not everyone knows Him.

I think a lot of people know of Him,.. just like I know of the president of the United States of America, but I don't actually have a personal relationship with him and that's where the difference lies. You know, maybe I am smarter than I think I am after all. :)

Many know the name God, but that's as far as it goes as they do not believe in any existence of Him. I get a kick out of atheist as they do not believe there is a God, but they sure do argue and debate something that does not exist to them as they try to prove their point even using scripture as their defense.

Huh?? How can an atheist use scripture when they probably don't even know it?

Seen them do it many times when I have talked with them. They do not actually quote book, chapter and verse, but some of the phrases in the scriptures.
