Noah and Lot - Together For The Last Days Of Mankind

Whenever one places the biblical verses of Matthew 24:37-39 together with the biblical verses of Luke 17:28-30 you have the blueprint for the end of God's grace and the beginning of God's final judgment of mankind.

In Matthew 24:37-39 the verse highlights the story of Noah's Ark which deals with God's judgment of mankind when it corrupts itself through the wickedness of the woman (hint: immoral sex - multiple sex partners – multiple marriages). And in Luke 17:38-30 it highlights the story of Sodom and Gomorrah which deals with God's judgment of mankind when it corrupts itself through the wickedness of the man (hint: immoral sex - multiple sex partners).

In today's world we have both the immorality of the woman and the immorality of the man combining (hint: Noah and Lot ) to produce such a wicked world that it will necessitate the involvement of God and bring about all the events depicted in the Book of Revelation and the Great Tribulation.

I believe that you have spoken the Truth as concerning the evil in both settings. I listened to the English rendering of Revelation. So, could you please comment further on what you intended to convey? You thread has the beginnings of a very important thread, I am interested in hearing more from your thoughts.

We are certainly living in a time that parallels with Noah and Lot’s life time. This wicked world is coming to its end soon. What I gather from Matthew 24:37-39 is that people in general are just going about their everyday lives, eating, drinking and so forth but they are taking no note about where we are in the stream of time. Yes many are wicked immoral sinners today, but there are also a lot of so called “good people” that are not spiritually awake. They may not be living an immoral life, but that is not enough to be saved when the end comes.

There are many people in the world who don’t believe we are living in the last days, they think we are crazy or they just don’t care to listen. They ridicule us like it says in 2 Peter 3:3-7. To quote my own mother “ The world is not coming to an end in my life time. They have been saying since bible times that the world is coming to an end and it hasn’t happened yet.”

I pray that she spiritually wakes up before it is too late.

My take:
In Matt.24:37-40
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The days before the flood, they were eating , drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.

Let's take a look to what was happening in Noah's time.

Gen.6:2-4
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men, and took them wives of all they choose.

There were giants ( like Goliath) in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, men of old, men of renown.

These were fallen angels.
They are coming back!

Rev.12:9-17
9; Satan and his angels are cast to the earth.
He knoweth that he has a short time.
15; And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood for 3 1/2 years after the woman, to be carried away of the flood.

A flood of lies, deceit.

Lot?
Gen.19:1-11
1; And there came 2 angels to Sodom.
5; the people wanted the angels to come out to have their way with them.

Back to Matt.24:
39; And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away. They had no knowledge that a flood was coming, thus perished.
They were the first ones taken.

Don't be taken by the flood of lies.

Since the bible says that Noah was a preacher of righteousness, I believe he must have warned the people to repent. I assume while he was building the ark many people came by and asked him questions, they must have been curious. Many probably thought he was crazy. Since their hearts were wicked they didn’t listen to Noah. I don’t believe that they had no knowledge about the flood, but they took no note. They just didn’t pay attention, they were apathetic. From what I have read in the bible God always warns people before he destroys them to give them the chance to repent and reconcile themselves to Him.

(2 Peter 2:5) . . .And he did not refrain from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a flood upon a world of ungodly people.

I think that Satan and the demons are present in the world. Influencing our society with their wickedness but I don’t think they have taken on physical bodies like in Noah’s time.


(Revelation 12:12) . . .On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time. . .

(1 John 5:19) . . .We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.

When I pray(ed) for truth, I didn't pray for something that would fit into pre-conceived notions of mine, I just asked for truth. Well, that's what it says, like it or not.

Noah and his family were the only ones that wasn't corrupted.
