Noah and the Flood

Looks like Quath wants God to submit a detailed account over every little question that he really doesn't want an answer to anyway so he can play Quality Assurance Engineer for the Divine.

OR does anyone feel like arguing with Quath for the next five to ten days while he drums up a new plethora of conflicting thoughts and physical anomalies with every little piece presented?

God said 2 of each of the animal species in the world got to go on the ark!! Now since there has only been about 50,000,000,000 animal species that have existed, that means Noah gathered 100,000,000,000 animals onto his ark!

Genesis 6
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

Back then, people used a measurement called cubits! In America, a cubit is 1.5 feet! That means that Noah's Ark was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet tall! Noah's ark was also only 3 stories tall, tall like a building!!!

Genesis 6
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

Noah's ark had about 101,205 square feet, or about 988,094 animals per square foot! WOW! God and Noah both planned well and survived the 40 day and 40 night trek as the world flooded, and the 6 month period after the water receded after the 40 days and 40 nights.

did i yet explain that the bible turned me off to christianity? How could an ever loving god, drowned so many people, to accomplish basically nothing.

It can't be a worldwide flood, because it is impossible to put animals on an ark, that would have to be incredibly huge.

Not to mention, I would think alot of christians wouldnt truly believe it, because, why would god just be like, "hey suckers, your sinners, so im drownding you, because I am a loving forgiving god. Wait, i just contradicted myself. woops, I guess ill just drowned all those that figured it out, yet, somehow let peopel know about it and write the story!"

btw, lyric. If christians truly did believe this was "noahs ark" then why have i not heard any big news about it in america. except i believe i saw one article in a tabloid paper. Why, in a country where 85% (aroudn that number) believe in god and the bible, is there no mass movement to unearth this?
 
Lotsa limitations and restrictions have been imposed by the Turkish government. Otherwise we would have dug up the ark by now.

"dug up"? Even by Wyatt's claim that would be impossible.

Are you saying that the YEC's at AIG are wrong? Is there analysis errant? Why do you say that?
 
there have been documentarys that say that jesus never existed, ect......

But all the research, with references and evidence, against the claim that it is noahs ark, is humungous

It only one I've seen recently was on the history channel, and the premise was that the biblical flood story is based on the Sumarian tale of Gilgamesh, which predates the biblical version.

What did the documentary say that contradicts what AIG is saying? Why hasn't AIG revised their position in light of this documentary?

Regardless of the documentary, what do you think of the AIG article...where are they wrong?
 
Here's the bottom line. If Turkey would let us go dig it up, we could settle this once and for all; however, they won't let us. So all the arguments mean nothing until we start using a shovel.
 
but the link thinkerman posted, with all of its research, basically refuted 99% of the "its noahs ark" claims.

I would like to ask why you post here, in a christian fourm, if your
not a christian? True christian's dont need proof, they have faith,
thats the whole point.

God had to flood the earth Gen 6:4. If you have ever read the book of
Enoch, it gives more details to how the "giants" came about. According to
Enoch, fallen angles slept with the women of earth, the offspring were
the "giants".

Your right, the idea of a loving god unmercifully killing all mankind except for one family though a worldwide flood that violated all known laws of physics makes MUCH more sense in light of the fact that angels bred with women to create Giants that we have no record of.

It all makes perfect sense now.

I think Muslims are here to stand up for their beliefs. Atheists and agnostics seem to be here for the thrill of debate and to understand religious people better.

This forum is open to all so long as the rules are not broken.

I come to learn, I come to teach, I come to debate.

There are many many ppl that think that atheists are all pedophiles, that burn stuff down, and molest animals.. Its just not true.

Same as i thought ALL christians, were utter morons. I have met a good deal that can think for themselves, and make their own judgements, and realize when they are wrong, or have made mistakes.

Also. Try being an atheist, and going up to a whole group of christians in real life and saying "hey, i really think you guys are being rude by discriminating against me"
most likely, Someone will begin shouting passages at me, while someoen else tries to burn me with a cross...

I have already received threats through the phone service, and the postal service, So i chose to take my debate to somewhere i cant really be harmed.
