Noah's Ark - This Planet's First Global Warming Crisis....

Why are people so worried about Global Warming? Jesus Christ said that mankind's last days will be just like the days of Noah's Ark.

In the days of Noah God told Noah to build an Ark in a desert! So in Noah's day there was a genuine 'Global Warming' crisis.

Today we have the same situation as in Noah's Day - we are living in a desert (hint: Global Warming)... while an ark - The Nation of Israel - is being built for the ultimate flood...a flood of mankind's immorality and insanity!

God Bless

I am a bit confused by this post. Global warming is no where mentioned in the Bible. God simply flooded the Earth and could have done so with or without global warming.

While weather catastrophes are mentioned, it is true that there is a lot of speculation if we are right now if we are living in the end times. It is always an interesting topic.

There is no man made global warming or "climate change". Al Gore spread his lies and he is laughing all the way to the bank.

We will be entering a cooling trend in the next few years as the cycle continues.

God is in control.

There really is very little to go on concerning the climate of the region Noah was living in prior to the flood. Sure, there was some ridicule from the people living around him as he was building the ark nowhere near a large body of water. It would be a huge stretch to suggest any kind of global warming, or climate change, situation going on. Even if we use the scewed science of the modern times, there was not enough people living on the planet, much less any kind of industry that would have contributed to any kind of "greenhouse gases" that would caused global warming.

The flood was completely done by God. He generated the amount of water to cover the entire planet to the point where there was no land above sea level until well after the rains ceased.

I don't totally agree with you here. I believe the evidence is quite overwhelming that man's activity has contributed to a change in the earth's overall climate. It is too much of a coincidence that the atmosphere's average temperature increase has paralleled the industrial revolution. Keep in mind too that our global population has also followed a similar parallel placing even higher demand on fossil fuel usage.

I also believe it is a stretch to suggest that man's activity is the only cause and this is where I do agree with you. There are a lot of things we do that contribute but we are not the only cause. I also don't see how we can eliminate all of our contributing habits unless we can find some way to convert all fossil fuel usage to environmentally friendly methods. This includes how we cook our food, heat and cool our buildings, get from place to place, deliver products from area to area, build new things and remove old things, and so forth. I don't see that happening in any near future.

To reverse what has already been done would require sucking the carbon-dioxide out of the atmosphere faster than we put it into it. One of the best ways to do that is to increase the number of plants that consume CO2 however as our population increases we put ever more demand on the land that is needed to grow those plants.

Add to that the fact that each person continues to demand more and more space. For example, in the United States, over the last 50 years, the average size of our family homes has nearly doubled while at the same time the average size of our families has dropped to about half. This means that each person today demands about 4 times the square footage of a person 50 years ago. As climate continues to get hotter overall, there will be less and less suitable land for growing the plants needed to convert CO2 to O2. In other words, left unchecked, we will eventually tip the balance and basically suffocate.

In any discussion of this topic, it needs to be on the forefront that the biggest depository for heat and carbon is our oceans. And we understand less about this than any other aspect of the issue. (It's been said we've explored more of our solar system than we have our oceans)
