OCD Me

When I buy groceries, if they won't fit in one bag, I quickly estimate how much each item weighs and arrange them so each bag weighs the same, or as close to it as I can get. (We don't have people that put things in bags for us, we have to do it ourselves.) I have even been known to weigh the bags when I get home to see how close I got.

Well, as long as we are being amateur language police, I cringe when I hear "I" and "me" being misused and especially in 3rd person sentences. If someone says something along the lines of "Me and Suzy went to the store" or "He gave it to Suzy and I" I have an overwhelming urge to correct. I don't, because correcting people is bad manners, but I want to. (Of course, if it's one of my kids, you bet I'll correct them!)

I guess another OCD trait I have is that if I throw something away, I have to wash my hands afterward. Like a paper plate. I can pick up the paper plate, carry it around and eat off of the thing, all without a problem. Then, as soon as I chuck the thing in the trash, I wash my hands.

I guess another thing would be counting things. Does anyone around here count things? Not just how many cars are on a train, but things like how many electrical poles are between their house and work, or how many cars are waiting at a red light? I find myself counting things a lot.

Here's someone else who likes to count things :D

I do this. I'll look at something, estimate how many of the particular thing there is and then count it to see how close I got. I do this constantly, often a bad times so that I don't finish (ex: on a highway to cars, trees, or poles).

try throwing papers where one has to know the count of papers given and also the houses thrown. i do it by memory.

i cant name on adress till someone mentions a name. then i will know that address.

I add things. License plates in particular. I will mentally convert all the letters into numbers and then I keep adding up the numbers until I am left with a single digit.

Oh I cannot sit on the outside of a booth at a restaurant. I HAVE to sit on the inside. Also, I cannot sit with my back to a window or a door and I try to avoid my back to people as much as possible.
