Odd Hobbies

I was just wondering if anyone has an odd hobby They wouldn't mind sharing with everyone.

I collect sugar packets from every restaurant I go to. I can't sugar coat things because i keep the sugar in the packets. 8-)

I collect Kinder Surprise Toys and beanie babies, but thats not very odd! I know lots of people with the same collections colros:

I couldn't sleep so someone gave me a sheep. Then I bought one and then another one. Then people started giving them to me for my Birthday and Christmas. Before you know it I had 50 or more plus all the stuffed ones in my bedroom. It just happened. I didn't want to start a collection of sheep.

Finally one day, I had just had it up to here with sheep.... I announced to everyone in the family, "I am no longer accepting sheep as a gift. I am sick of sheep and I hope I never see another sheep in my dreams or otherwise. So from now on, give me money or candy or clothes the way you use to do. Now I am sheep-free and happy.. : : :

I have about forty sugar packets in my collection, right now. Hopefully this will grow soon.

It is not surprising to me that Brutus/HisCatalyst has a rather odd hobby because he is crazy after all; of course I am not sane either.

I would like to also add that Brutus/HisCatalyst could make a very interesting, and unique, title for his autobiography (should he want to write one) since he has such an odd hobby…here are some titles he could have:

“A Man’s life in a sugar packetâ€Â
“Sugar packet: The life on a interesting fellowâ€Â
“Sugar packets of lifeâ€Â

The above are what popped in my head as I was typing this post, please if anyone has any other one please post them…I would like a good laugh and any title about sugar packets and Brutus/HisCatalyst would make me role with laughter.

Does membership to forums count? :-D I didn't realize how many I am a member of until recently I got a message from someone saying they had googled "Christian messageboards" or whatever and every one that they found I was a member of. :

Actually, I'm a collector of collections. I just like things to be 'complete'....I got a seraphim angel as a gift one time and when I found out there was an entire 'collection' out there I began collecting them. I got a swarovski crystal miniature one time and that started that collection.

I bought a really neat sunflower picture for my kitchen and began decorating around it. Now, eight years later my entire kitchen and dining room is full of sunflowers....it's all yellow and green with the black and white checkerboard motif throughout. I even have collections within the collection because I have a curio of sunflower mini teasets, a shelf of sunflower clocks, sunflower picture frames throughout, etc. All my dinnerware, glasses, pots, silverware, etc has the same motif (sunflower with black and white checkerboard). Yeah, so I kinda went to the extreme, but it does look really neato.

I collect cds...oh yeah. I have tons and hope to one day have a room devoted to music. The wallpaper will actually be made of cd covers. Can't wait.

I collect other things as well such as books, flip flops, and lighthouses...

Oh...I also collect images on the computer such as smileys, blinkies, emoticons, and animated graphics....I have over 11,000 at last count. :-D

Wow, that's awesome. I used to be a collector of colections, then my parents reminded me I didn't own the house. Pick a collection and stick with. So I stuck with Card collection: sports cards, gaming cards, special series cards, trading cards. I even have a few New Kids On the Block cards from when they had their own trading cards. I've never counted that collection.

I don't know why I didn't think to post this earlier, but when I was dating my first love many moons ago I saved a napkin from every restaurant/house we ever ate at. I kept them all in an album where I labeled each one---I still have it to this day.

Have I ever mentioned that I'm a tad OCD? : :P

I can't say that I collect anything these days. But I still have a huge collection of football cards and other sports collectables that I saved from my younger days.

I definetly collect books. Not fiction only non-fiction. Books about current events, history, autobio, school books...also I like to go into old houses that have been abandoned and look for them. You would be surprised what old books you find. I guess my oldest one is a 1890's shorthand school book, it is really cool.
Actually I got my handle from a book about John F. Kennedy assination, "Best Evidence". I think everyone should have some collection it helps to identify yourself or something?
But really for a hobby I think I really don't have one like sewing, or golfing, or cooking. I think my hobby is reading.
The habit of collecting sugar packets has to be one of the,shall I say, weirdest I have heard of. : :D :wink:

It may be weird, but I love my collection. It kinda sweet in a way. 8-)
