Pat Robertson's comment

I think that the comment made by Pat Robertson, about a Haiti making a pack with the devil 200 years ago, could have something to it. I respect Pat, but people are gearing up to harpoon Pat. The radio here in Philly and everywhere else, is all over this. They are saying how could he say that, and how could he say this. Well I want to research this thing to see if it is true, because Haiti has a lot of voodo stuff going on down there, as well as other type rituals. But for right now Pat is in trouble. But as for me, for the moment, I am with Pat

Ok, but the reason for my comment is, I was listening to the uproar over his comments on my car radio[youtube:29b6oig2]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5TE99sAbwM[/youtube:29b6oig2]

haitans practice hoodo and or voodo also sangria. That's a fact. but still rather then judge them lets reach out and help them.

Haitians are a large migrant problem in Florida i work with some haitians. Nice people. some are saved. My bro can speak some creole as he has hatian neighbors.

Members from my old church go down there frequently. I am actually waiting for word as to weather or not one of my friends is ok.

Pat Robertson Cites Haiti’s Earthquake As What Happens When You ‘Swear A Pact To The Devil’

Haiti is now struggling to recover from a devastating earthquake that hit the island nation on Tuesday, with the death toll reaching far into the thousands. The disaster “left the country in a shambles, tangling efforts to provide relief to an estimated 3 million people who the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said had been affected by the quake.†Many aid groups, however, are also struggling with their own dead and wounded employees.

Today on his 700 Club television show, Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson highlighted the tragedy and said that his network will be there “to help the people.†However, he then tried to offer an explanation for the earthquake, blaming Haiti’s own people for once making a “pact to the devilâ€:

ROBERTSON: omething happened a long time ago in Haiti and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. Napoleon the Third and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, “We will serve you if you get us free from the prince.†True story. And so the devil said, “OK, it’s a deal.†They kicked the French out, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free.

But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other, desperately poor. That island of Hispaniola is one island. It’s cut down the middle, on the one side is Haiti, on the other side is the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. Haiti is in desperate poverty. Same island.

They need to have, and we need to pray for them, a great turning to God. And out of this tragedy I’m optimistic something good may come. But right now, we’re helping the suffering people and the suffering is unimaginable.

Wow the media backlash on Pat Robertson's comments are nuts :o
That's because the secular media. does not know any better. They are spiritually bankrupt, the things that the Bible, and you and I say, is foolishness to them. They know nothing, but the secular.

He basicly said hatti deserved this trajedy. How would you feel if a commentator said your country and all the women, elderly, Chilldren, etc. who died basicly deserved it?

Just wanted to say that my son's friend went on a missions trip to Haiti last year and was welcomed with open arms...by the adults, but especially by the children. According to my son's friend, everyone he talked with was open to God's Word. :amen

I wonder if PAt Robertson has been to Haiti??

You'd think with all the souls there desperately lost......... :shrug

I also wonder what Pat Robertson said about Hurricane Katrina. ?? :confused
