PC Police Strike Again

That article doesn't actuallly contradict anything in the link in the OP. Watch the video. They address the incident where someone used the Lord's name in vain. And since when is handing out cards with a Christian message at CHRISTmas a reason to fire someone?

The TOG

I think they explained that perfectly well in the link I provided: ''Neace wasn’t let go because she said a phrase as harmless as “bless you” after someone sneezes. It’s because she treated customers and co-workers like targets that needed to be converted, received multiple warnings to that effect, and ignored them all''.

Every time some speaks the Lords name in vain to me i feel like her customer did... :shrug

I think the point is when you are employed by someone else you obey the rules. If you can't do that you find another job.

If I had a business, especially one that had to deal with the public, and I had say a Muslim working for me they would not be allowed to speak about it while in my place of business.
I wouldn't let them hand out cards with Praise Allah, Mohammed the Prophet said....., or anything else and I especially wouldn't allow them to evangelize their religion in the work place, any more than this forum site allows people to come in here and evangelize other religions.
If they persisted they would be let go.

In many places of work now you can be fired for speaking up for Jesus. But those who can blasphemy His name and mock Him are just fine and actually that is very much excepted.

Now this sounds believable and perhaps is the truth of the matter. I have seen people like this and I do not think that it is a good thing to bombard people with the gospel and take it too far. I can understand zeal and winning souls, but a better approach would be to simply love everyone in the Lord and let His light shine to the world. In this way the people would be curious what is wrong with that fellow? Why is he so polite and cheerful? and they would want what they have and then after they ask a question there could be a followup.

Yes,very good approach.Be salt and light of this world. If we as Christians are doing something that the world does not like then we must be doing something right :)

I try to talk to my customers about the Lord, but I'm not forceful about it. What I do is find a way to slip in a praise the Lord about something or other (not hard to do) and look for the reaction. If they scowl or say nothing, I keep my mouth shut and don't take it into an uncomfortable area. if they respond positively, then sometimes it turns into a nice conversation about the Lord. :)

I wait and see if someone will bring up something that I know they might know the Lord and then that gives me an in.
