People should be more Universal

I'll trade you some sack cloths and ashes for some of your nice suites and ties.

:)
Mike.
LOL, I get harped on all the time for my "medieval Christian approach"... but you got me, I'm no ascetic. I'm much too overweight for that. As for suits and ties, my avatar is the first time I ever wore either one. It's a picture of my wedding day. I doubt I'll wear another until I'm in a casket.

Possibly. But then, I believe our Lord takes pleasure in blessing us as we ask for those blessings. Is it wrong to ask to be blessed or ask for a blessing? And get it?
Yeah, I know. Depends on what you're asking for. I'll let the Lord decide that one and ask all the same. :)
Not at all. I don't think we need to forsake all blessings from God, not by a long shot. I just think we should sometimes consider the wilderness a little more. Myself most of all.

You look sharp in that picture, and since that one weight post I made, down 15 pounds, the Lord will help, and you have to think before putting things in your mouth. 3 Big Mac's, not 4 of them, it's tough choices like that, that make a difference. You can do it though, re-focus every day, it's a day by day thing.

Be blessed.

45 down today. Got off track for a few weeks but back on it today. There's a certain peace that comes in being peckish that I'm slowly beginning to understand. We weren't meant to be fat and winded. I'm still counting on the Lord to help bring us through to our goal and I haven't forgotten our prayer and agreement!

Fat comes off my body, in the name of Jesus, the cells just shrink and dry up. I eat only what I am suppose to eat, I exercise when I am suppose to exercise.

There is more Anointing on you, if you don't fill your gut. It just works that way, living a fasted life, giving the body what it needs to be healthy and not the extra. The peace you feel is the presence of the Holy Spirit being stronger. That is a good thing.

Not sure about this university concept, or what it is. Seems sort of out there a bit for me.

Deep'N'Dark, if I can ask, what is a proper Christian?
That would be someone who has pretty well ruined the name of Christianity, and tried to turn it into "Religion." The main reason most people don't want anything to do with Christianity.

That's one critism, Willie, but it's not at all alone. Too many kinds of ways to judge a Christian, even by a Christian, for me to assume which complaint someone has about Christians or Christianity. The world divides us up, and too often I think we are encouraging that dividing nature. For all I know Deep'N'Dark has a complaint about "proper Christians" that could range from being too traditional, relying on the bible, being evangelistic, or on the other side, being hipicratical, judgmental, overbearing, or a complaint about rejecting homosexuals, women preachers or anything else that has it's own issue in the world today.

On the other hand Deep'N'Dark could mean he's not a proper Christian because he holds a different perspective or philosophy then is taught and held in Christianity. It might not be a complaint, but a difference. I hope he'll give an answer too.

The title of your thread is "People should be more universal" then go on to say "Universality is not christianity" What's that mean?

Btw you didn't cap Christianity..

I think that what he means is that we have made Christianity "denominationally exclusive" and "exclusionary" rather than "inclusive", as Jesus intended it to be.

And less isolated from eachothers. Univerality is the highest level that there is.

Globalism, is the religion of the anti-christ.
"think globally, act locally", is his bumper sticker and 1st Commandment.
The object being to turn us all into one dumbed-down integrated borderless mob that he can exploit economically and thereby, "save" with just a "mark".
Its getting pretty close now.

Are there borders in heaven? I'm not for globalism bUT in ww1,the civil war Christians killed each other.a local church doea a reenactment on the Christmas of 1917 during ww1

How did Jesus intend it to be, i thought about Matthew 10:34-35 when i saw this

tob
Yes, sadly, I honestly believe your mind really did automatically go right there. But, in that verse, Jesus is not talking about relationships among Believers.

As far as I know there has been no Anti-Christ on our planet yet.

Ok, I'm not been baptized by a christian church, I also have my own philsophy that differs from christianity, and I'm not believeing lot of the things in the Bible. But I have big morality and ethics, about what we do on this planet.

Have you ever watched MSNBC or CNN?
That entire network is devoted to anti-christian lifestyle and purpose.
So, it could be that the literal "man of sin" is born, is grown, but has not appeared yet, however the spirit of the anti-christ has been here since Jesus walked and is certainly active today more then ever.

No, they want to make us think and believe that there's an Anti-Christ, but there is NO!
Some people are like Anti-Christ kind of but no! Why would there be a competition betweet a bad and good like that?
