Perpetual Forgiveness

I came back after some weeks off, and you guys still think you can make claims you cannot even be free to talk about, try talking calmly about Romans 7 and 1 John, just one time, seeing it is what you claim means you lie if you say you should not be a sinner.

This should really be settled once and for all, one way or the other, why go back and forward for ever, is that as sign of understanding, or simplicity in Christ, or we have to have things confused forever.

The aim of overcoming this world as Christ overcame, of course is love, born again is of that love, love is knowing God, for God is love, Romans 7 and parts of 1 John do not show us to overcome the world by sinning, and saying we are not seen as sinners, by God or anyone else.

Hey All,
How would you describe the church of Leodecia in Revelation 3:14-22?
1. It was/is a church. Jesus said so.
2. They are practicing sin. Jesus lists them.
3. Jesus tells them to repent. (If there is no sin, why do they need to repent?)
4. Jesus stands ready to have fellowship with anyone in the church who opens the door. (Door being a euphemism for a willingness to repent.)

Conclusion: Jesus is warning a church -- a body of believers -- that they are sinful, and need repentance.
Believers can and do sin. I am living proof. I try. I have tried for over 55 years. But the "old man" Paul describes in Romans is still a part of me. Paul instructed us to subdue the flesh. But I am not always successful subduing it. On occasion, I still get mad. (In extreme cases, four letter words can still come out.) I still have lust and envy. I cannot be perfect as Christ was/is. I can't do it.
I believe in Jesus. I rest in His assurance of my salvation. I have joy in my heart. But I still need, and rely on, God's mercy and grace every day of my life. I hope this helps. Keep walking everybody. May God bless,
Taz

Who is the bolded portion speaking of and to whom is it written?
A sin not unto death, is as you already quoted of 1 John 2:1.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Gods love is not perfected in anyone who commits sins.

More quotes for you of being perfect in love..

John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Hey All,
How would you describe the church of Leodecia in Revelation 3:14-22?
1. It was/is a church. Jesus said so.
2. They are practicing sin. Jesus lists them.

Remember what repentance is, it counts as nothing and has no sins blotted out, unless they are converted.

That is how it is portrayed in 2 Corinthians 12, they are exhorted to repent. ( to be converted)

But, that changes for Hebrews 6, and 2 Peter 2, for the ones who fall away, they cannot renew again to repentance., and becoming entangled again from the pollutions they had escaped from, was better for them to have never heard, than to turn from the holy commandment.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

In the same way we can examine Revelations.

The first is of the fallen angel, who had not done the first works.

The next shows following Jezebel into fornication. ( exactly as 2 Corinthians 12 spoke of fornication) so they also had a chance, as they have never known Christ, or would be as Hebrews 6 and 2 Peter 2 spoke of, no repentance for them.

The next gives the reason for not overcoming the world, because the works are not perfect before God, repentance is to know we do have to be made perfect in HIs love, as HIs love is perfected n us.

The next are the lukewarm, and remembering the conversion as told in Matthew 18, ( to repent and convert) it is to be as little children, OR YOU SHALL NOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Ephesians 5 continues, to be followers of God as dear children, ( converted as little children when repented) walking in love( no sin in love) as Christ has loved us, giving Himself for us( we lay our lives down for the brothers) and fornication, as told in Revelations 2, and 2 Corinthians 12, TO NOT BE NAMED ONCE, as no WHOREMONGER HAS ANY INHERITANCE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 But FORNICATION, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, LET IT NOT BE NAMED ONCE AMONG YOU, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that NO WHOREMONGER, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, HATH ANY INHERITANCE IN THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST AND OF GOD.

Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit FORNICATION.

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit FORNICATION, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her FORNICATION; and she repented not.

Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit ADULTERY with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Would you guys like to rightly divide the scriptures, I repeat Romans 7 and 1 John, are meant to be debated about and misunderstood.

Also Revelations is another book, difficult for people to follow, but it has to be exactly the same as the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it has to be in righteousness.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
