Also, please remember that these reactors are not exploding. What they are having is hydrogen gas explosions - not good news, but not an atomic explosion. Such outburts can throw radioactive matter into the air (is anything radioactive is caught up in the incident), but they are not examples of the core exploding.
It does sound like my prediction is coming true: this situation is becoming stable and soon, maybe, the world can turn it's attention to the human crisis in Japan apart from these five reactors.
