One time (like over 30 years) our older son had a sudden and extremely high fever. I had read somewhere OTC meds don't work on fevers many times until you get the temp. down to under 102F. We gave him a bath in tepid (not cold) water until his body temp dropped to the target temp then gave him children's OTC fever reducer. His temp then dropped to normalish within 30 min. Scary.

I've never had kids but you give off a nice vibe so I pray that everything works out fine.
 
Thank you all for the prayers. It’s been a crazy weekend, her fever got so high, up to 104.5. It was scary. We saw the doctor and her tonsils were covered in pus. It seems to be tonsillitis. Her fever hasn’t been so high today and she has been acting more like herself. Hopefully this is the tail end of this bug.
 
Thank you all for your prayers!! Her fever broke and then she broke out in a rash. She hasn’t ran fever since and she is acting like herself again. Her appetite has returned. Thank you all for thinking of her!
