Please tell me what you think

While you're at it solo, ask yourself if the baptist church is a cult which endorses 'sin all you want' and only lose rewards.

No, I would call that a hidden tomb. Or whitewashed toombs full of dead mens bones. The go to church on sunday raise hell on monday bunch; leading many a man to hell thinking he is eternally secure in his sins.

But I'm sure you guys thank God you aren't like the rest of those filthy sinners and cultist, huh.

Personally I do thank God that I am not like you. You sit there behind your computer and critize peoples churches when you don't even attend one.
If you understood Justification you would know that Salvation is a Gift from God and since God does not take back what he gave for free, ones salvation is secure. Can a person walk away from his salvation? I would say yes, but then one would also wonder if the person was ever saved to beging with. Are you saved? By your fruits I would say no. You have a very criticle spirit

Perhaps a mod should lock it then.

Solo Great post by the way :smt023

I wish you guys could be as self controlled and handle yourselves as perfectly as I do at ALL times.
I never argue, never create strife, never accuse anyone of anything, I am always fruitful and create rays of sunshine everywhere I post. Why can't y'all be more like me???
I am the perfect model of love, peace, longsuffering, patience, meekness, joy, kindness, and of course, self control! (random order with a few thrown in for good measure).
I have no pride, I am the perfect picture of humility.
Now straighten up and be more like me!!

Scroll down please

;-) ;-)  :o :o :o If only it were so!!! :bday:

Oscar,
give it a rest... I don't have to defend myself, so don't push it.

You know, this reminds me of a time that I was in the group home. Me and this kid used to fight all the time. Each time, I'd knock his block off and each time, I'd loose a priveledge like being able to go home for a weekend.
But you see, this kid didnt' have a home... and he got great satisfaction out of me loosing my priveledges even if it meant him getting his butt kicked.
One day the light buld came on for me... and it was the hardest thing to do... but I sat there and let him humiliate me and beat me in front of a crowd of people. I was so ashamed and thought, "That wasn't worth it" and made a vow to never let anyone dis me agian... and from there, I could tell you some stories based on that mind set... and I learned my lesson.

So you go ahead and get the pom pom's out and do a little dance. I'm not biting but remember, from here forward, your only in control of yourself.

Peace, the choice is yours.

Jeff

I would like to publiclly appologize for my comments I made earlier in this thread to you. They were wrong and ask for forgiveness.

Jg, I will take your advice. I will take a few weeks off except for my debate with deep thinker.

Blessings, Oscar

I hold no unforgivness towards you, oscar.

May God give all of us A big measure of His wisdom and grace in dealing with each other, and in how we present ourselves to the world as His ambassadors.

This thread proves that Christians strike out against the Word of God when it contradicts their own personal bias of their interpretation. When one is held accountable for their remarks or actions, they would rather strike out than handle the situation in a Christ-like manner.

It is a shame that believers must shame the name of Jesus Christ by their immature actions against the truth. The following Scriptures show why one should examine oneself against the Scripture, and not play the ole "attack the messenger" game.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. 2 Corinthians 13:5-6

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20
