i wonder if adelphos, and eddy are married.if they are i am sure there wives wouldnt apreciate being treated as cattle. in order to marry my wife, i gave my desire to be a dad, she was to old to carry child. but God works in mysterious ways. now i am a dad to my grandson.

If a man has 2 children, is he treating them as cattle? What made you think a man will treat his wives as cattle?

call it expercience in afghanistan. if my wife gets too old(21) i go get another one. what else is one to think?

if i did it your way. i would find all the gorgeous models to marry and love them and leave my old and well aged wife to just live on what i gave her. if you dont think that goes take a look at some of the battles of wives over children. ie racheal and leah and also samuel mother. if my husband gives me a child perhaps he will love me more.

let me ask you this. he compares the world around us to spiritual things. he spoke of the cost of salvation as unto kings going to war. should christians then support wars and wars that are for unjust reasons?

Just because you think you cannot manage two wives does not mean others must not be allowed. The bottom line is if it is a sin, we must not follow. period. If it is not a sin, then it must be allowed.

It's a simple truth that polygamy is not a sin. It is also instituted by the law.

Can anyone in this forum justify based on scriptures that polygamy it is a sin?

Why would anyone say something that are not in scriptures, i.e, that polygamy is a sin?

The same could be said of those who promote (through dialog) that it is not.

Nonetheless, of every promotion (posts) of having multiple wives, they all seem to use Old Testament examples to validate their views.

I fear we attempt to live as new testament saints through old testament means.

Perhaps this could also be what it means to put new wine into old wineskins.

The parable Christ used, refers a king who want to defend his kingdom, not invade or for unjust reasons.

(Luke 14:31-32) "Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.

Wives (plural)? Perhaps because of him having divided affections, thereby denying one while elevating another (wife)?

so killing in the act of war isnt a sin now is it? we should allow that and the whole law. death penalty as well. jesus fulfilled the punishement but not the laws as in they are nulled to the point that we cant use them as guide.

meet him? that isnt defensive., keep in mind why they fought. allies were attacked and you had your word to join think nato. and seato.

or said country is also attacking another that isnt a friend and also has sent emissaries for help. think jehosaphats alliance with ahab over syria who attacked him.

Yet I do not believe the message of the ten virgins was Christ instructing me on marriage and it's promotion of a Christian man having multiple wives.


Perhaps you could educate me further on the message of the parable.

Women are not the masters of men. Men are to lead women. So I don't understand what you mean.

Why would someone who follows God care what people in Nepal do?

Not all men are slaves to lust, and just because it isn't right for you doesn't mean it isn't right for everyone.

A child doesn't deserve as much attention as possible. They need to learn right from wrong, and to serve God. Giving your children as much attention as possible is a modern world philosophy.

You can marry as many concubines as you like and it is still not a sin. Did you find any scripture that says it is a sin?

If you believe you will not be able to give more attention to children, then it must not be assumed for other parents who can.
