Some days its really hard to be positive. It feels like a lie and thus I won't force it. Feeling really drained and depressed today.
But despite the bleak feeling inside and the november weather and some saddening news I just got I've kept my head up today and didn't act on my negative feelings. I'm not gonna pretend I'm cheerfull, though. That would be pointless and beyond my strength.
Inbetween all the frustration two good things happened today so far,
1. I got a text message from a friend saying how much he is enjoying the birthday present I gave him yesterday , and
2. Surprisingly I got a bass guitar today. Yay! It's second hand and I don't have an amplifyer so I don't know whether the pickup heads are functioning. Hopefully I can test it with the sound equipment in my church on sunday. So far I haven't paid anything for the bass guitar because the guy I got it from got it for free himself (a client of his gave it to him because she wanted to get rid of it asap for personal reasons), and he has no use for it and was glad I wanted it. We agreed that when I figured out whether it's functional and the pickups are fine I'll decide how much I want to pay, kinda as a donation to the woman who used to have it because she's in some financial trouble. Now I just gotta learn how to play it, it's different from playing a "normal" guitar.
