Positivity only thread

Some days its really hard to be positive. It feels like a lie and thus I won't force it. Feeling really drained and depressed today.
But despite the bleak feeling inside and the november weather and some saddening news I just got I've kept my head up today and didn't act on my negative feelings. I'm not gonna pretend I'm cheerfull, though. That would be pointless and beyond my strength.

Inbetween all the frustration two good things happened today so far,
1. I got a text message from a friend saying how much he is enjoying the birthday present I gave him yesterday :), and
2. Surprisingly I got a bass guitar today. Yay! It's second hand and I don't have an amplifyer so I don't know whether the pickup heads are functioning. Hopefully I can test it with the sound equipment in my church on sunday. So far I haven't paid anything for the bass guitar because the guy I got it from got it for free himself (a client of his gave it to him because she wanted to get rid of it asap for personal reasons), and he has no use for it and was glad I wanted it. We agreed that when I figured out whether it's functional and the pickups are fine I'll decide how much I want to pay, kinda as a donation to the woman who used to have it because she's in some financial trouble. Now I just gotta learn how to play it, it's different from playing a "normal" guitar.
:rocking

Awwww. Thanks guys for the comments on my dogs. Teko's name came from my moms grandmas dog. She just wanted to have something to remember her grandma by.

Claudya wow, a bass guitar! You'll have to post a video on youtube and share!

Lol I will do.
I'm dreaming of having my own christian metal band. Nothing big and famous, just simply giving the worship music in my church (and other churches around here) some more aliveness than it has now. Unfortunately I started music only in my mid twenties so it's unlikely I'll ever be a super stage guitarist, compared to those that start practicing as kids. But God can do miracles, right?
If there ever is anything to show off music-wise you can be sure as heck I *will* show it off on youtube and here.

I'm positive I will have an AWESOME afternoon. I have a keyboard that I can kinda play. I can play "Little Drummer Boy" from REO Speedwagon, which btw is my favorite group of all time.

Awwww. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you have more furry friends to love and cuddle with. Mine are going to be 3 yrs old in January 10.

Yes it is. I get to talk to a friend of mine tonight. We always talk every Tuesday evening and it makes me feel blessed to talk to him.

Here one
Ecc 9:10 Whatever the activity in which you engage, do it with all your ability, because there is no work, no planning, no learning, and no wisdom in the next world where you're going.

I got a few of those friends its nice to have them
Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
Ecc 4:10 If they stumble, the first will lift up his friend—but woe to anyone who is alone when he falls and there is no one to help him get up.
Ecc 4:11 Again, if two lie close together, they will keep warm, but how can only one stay warm?
Ecc 4:12 If someone attacks one of them, the two of them together will resist. Furthermore, the tri-braided cord is not soon broken.
