Great story!

God made all the powerful storms and the rough and destructive forces of nature, and He thought those were "very good". God must be male. :lol

So... we brought up the spare table, put a venison roast in with the lamb roast and ended up having 13 people for dinner!

Vension could have been bought somewhere. The mere fact that he had venison in his house is not sufficient information to conclude that he himself was successful in his hunting efforts.
 
The positive thing that's happening in my life right now is my nephew. I need to think about him whenever I feel down, then a smile will come across my face.

And I am positively thankful.. for all of you guys who have put up with the crap that has gone on here the last 3 days. edited by reba :)

It was his masculine side :biggrin2 Ever been in a hurricane? The power and force just overwhelms me. Something about wind...
You know, Gods name YHVH is said to take on the form of breathing. YH aka Yud Hey (inhale) VH aka Vav Hey (exhale). When one speaks, it includes breathing. Ironically, the first thing a new born baby does is .... breath. The last thing somebody does before they die is... breath. Take it for what it's worth. (Ecc 3:11 niv). We see God Speaking creation into being. aka "God said". Prior to that, we see his Spirit hovering over the waters. This same word for Spirit is also translated wind. "God sent an East Wind, God sent a West Wind. In the NT, wind and spirit are also from the same greek word. It's clearest example is John 3. Replace Spirit and wind with pnuma... it's the same word.

And the whole earth is groaning, as Paul writes in Romans. You know, to groan ya gotta have a breath.... It's just a facinating idea to me. So when I feel the winds, especially the strong winds, I'm reminded of how God created the first Adam. He "Blew" and that requires a bit more than just breathing. It denotes force.

Ok, so I'm a nut and not laying all my cards on the table here... But something about the wind and how powerful it is inspires me.

Hey, this is supposed to be a positive thread lol! Only thing positive about hunting now is waiting for December to roll around so the farmer will cut his crop down and hopefully I can get my tent (if it didn't blow away last night) closer than 200 yards....

Yeah, the venison roast was from earlier this year.
 
These are my puppies. They're Yorkshire poodle mix. They're names are for the black one: Teko. And the black and brown one: Gaga. Yes names after Lady Gaga. Cute aren't they?
 
herricanes? been through a few of those. Lightning? yup I live near the lightning capital of the world and also have nearly struck twice. no thanks. I know a lot about the the satanic bolt from hell. lighting , what we see is actually the air heated to the fourth state of matter called plasma. the boom is when that air cools. lightning has four ways it stikes. cloud to cloud. cloud to ground. ground to cloud. and cloud to upper atmosphere.during summner nights It was common to see the heat lightning effect( a reflection of strikes miles away and to far for sound to get to you) often that was over 100 miles away.

I always thought is was caused by the rapid expansion of the air as a result of the super fast temperature change as it heated up from the static discharge.
 
Having an okay night tonight. Nothing going on with me. Just watching Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. All the food looks good cause it's Thanksgiving tour. Yummy.

He was born into human form so that he could truly and completely understand why I needed a savior and then he died for me because there is no other way out of the trouble i have gotten myself into

Your pets are really cute Dana. :)

I had a poodle for 15 years. He was my baby.

Do you have allergies? Because those breeds don't make me personally sick (as I am allergic to animal dander)
