in context the bible does speak of jesus as a lawyer, he who pleads our case. one whom interecedes on our side. that is what the blood does. it does speak of the act on the cross. a lawyer does aslo plea the court for things.

That could be if one was speaking loosely, I can see it. Moreso like a big brother though, wouldn't you think? Like family. Stick up for you, protect you, teach you some things, and not hand you a bill.

no, remember there were roman courts then and the jews knew what that context meant. they(rome) not US came with innocent until proven guilty and trial by jury.
