Post words of wisdom here

Jesus was a carpenter. And he will be a judge to each and everyone of us.A very fair judge.
in context the bible does speak of jesus as a lawyer, he who pleads our case. one whom interecedes on our side. that is what the blood does. it does speak of the act on the cross. a lawyer does aslo plea the court for things.

That could be if one was speaking loosely, I can see it. Moreso like a big brother though, wouldn't you think? Like family. Stick up for you, protect you, teach you some things, and not hand you a bill. :)

People come and go in our lives, but our family are always there...Like the Lord. :)

Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.
(Jimi Hendrix.)

That's why I talk so much but never listen to anyone... Uh... Wait... That didn't come out right... I meant that I talk a lot but... I have to think this through a little better.

Good judgment comes from experience, experience comes from poor judgment.

By three methods we may learn wisdom: first by reflection, which is noblest; second by imitation, which is easiest; third by experience, which is bitterest. (Confucius)

Man has two great aspirations in life in which to leave his mark. Family and work. Too much attention to either one, and the other suffers.

Seriously, though:

There is a Native American parable about two wolves within each person: a good wolf, and a bad one. They say that you should starve one and feed the other, but you would do well to remember: by starving one, you feed the other.

I've heard that, it's good. It goes like this:

"One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, arrogance, greed, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, generosity, empathy, truth, compassion and faith. The grandson thought about this for a minute and then asked the grandfather, which wolf wins? The old Cherokee simply replied, the one you feed."

Yep!

:) Yeah, I really liked that one when I read it. It rings of truth.

Here's one I made up! :)

"Most of us wait until we're in trouble, and then we pray like the dickens. Wonder what would happen if, some morning, we'd wake up and say, "Anything I can do for You today, Lord?"
