First one is me at my heaviest, 375 lbs. (Fall 2008), second picture is me at my lightest, 304 lbs. (fall of 2009) and right now I'm hovering around 315 lbs. (fall of 2010) which is the most recent picture. So I've lost a total of 60 lbs. in 3 years. Not the greatest, but it's not like I live on the Biggest Losers ranch or anything.

Now that I've found the Lord though I'm going to :pray that he helps me lose the rest of my weight. I do need to put some research into motion to find out what the Bible says about eating. (I'll save all that for the Health section of the boards though, since I just wanted to add my pictures to this thread).

Hey, you're a sharp dude, Gung Ho! And ya got a friendly smile! :)

Not everyone was built to run marathons! It's great that you were led to pay attention to your health, and most importantly, your spiritual health. The Good Physician Gives you a CLEAN bill of health!! :yes

Nice pics, gunghorjc. :thumbsup

I agree with Mike that not everyone is built to be thin. To be honest, you don't look that heavy and I am guessing that a part of it is due to a larger frame size. (No, I am not making the "big boned" excuse.) I'd suggest you quit looking at weight and focus on health. Work on changing to a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise.

Thanks PouringRain. :)

I know I'm not built to be 130 lbs. or to have the body of a runner. I think ideal weight for me honestly would be around 200 to 220.

good work, loosing that, its not easy.

Thanks jason, it's was not easy at all. I pretty much had to re-learn everything I thought about food. Lucky for me I had some really knowledgeable friends of mine who knew a lot and one of them had even studied health and nutrition and had recently became a personal trainer to help me out. Good thing about him being a school friend, he didn't charge me. ;)

So we have a good bond together. Unfortunately, they're also the ones who are proclaimed atheists and completely anti-Christian. :sad So I have no idea where the Lord is going to direct my friendships with them.

Me last year (I haven't taken any new photos lately but I look pretty much the same with longer hair):

I've gained a little weight since then but the face hasn't changed.

More attractive picture:

Here's my baby:

She's a 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Grace and she's my sister dog and the reason for the screen name.

So, taking Gun's idea I figured I'd do the same. Only thing is I don't have many pictures of myself. But here is what I could find.

That's me almost a year ago, might be just over a year. (I'm the guy on the right...)

That's me about two minutes ago. Think I'm getting there, now its about getting that muscle built up. Don't mind the mess...

I posted a little pic of myself looking into the computer monitor while wearing sunglasses. You can see it if you just check my profile. Actually, sometimes my eyes are such that I need to wear sunglasses while on the computer. Otherwise, I may get another one of my ocular migraines! :lol (aka flashes of zigzags and blind spots in one's vision for about half an hour)

I ca'nt find any pictures of myself.

But it's not about me, it's about the car!

So, see below!

Mark, I have really been anxious for you to post a picture of yourself. I mean, Dabney Coleman is a good actor and all but not good enough to use as an avatar, IMO. ;)

I wish I could find it, but I can't. I posted a picture of myself on "TheSpaceport" that was taken on my front porch. A lady zoomed into my face, and posted it next to a picture of Tom Selleck taken around 2000.

I saw a resemblance that no one would see in real life.

But Dabney Coleman?

I know that in my 30's, I was compared to Micheal W. Smith on several occasions. :D (In appearance, not in voice.)

I see the resemblance to Dabney (and no one should knock Dabney, a good lookin man, him!)

...Selleck not so much. ;)

This reminds me of a sort of continued argument my mom and dad always had about pictures of Jesus. Dad was a die-hard Calvinist, which of course meant that there should be no pictures of any kind. (Graven images) Mom never quite agreed with that. For years she had a picture of Jesus...the famous one of a blond-haired, blue eyed Jesus looking upwards...and Dad would grump about it. Once in one of their many "discussions" regarding it, Mom said, "Everyone knows that isn't what Jesus really looked like. It's just an artistic representation of what He looks like."

So Dad said, "Well, I tell you what. I'd like for you to carry a picture of Tom Selleck around in your purse. When folks want to see a picture of your husband, just pull it out and say, 'This isn't what my husband looks like, it's just an artistic representation of him.'"

:D

Here's an "artistic representation" of me:
