I spent some time riding with my mom down to the probation office so I could pay my monthly $$$. We talked, she seemed happy. I'm blessed. I got slammed w/ the maximum time for probation (5 years), but I got a misdemeanor, not a felony, because my people hired a good attorney. "Uppity mental patients" generally don't have attorneys, so its kind of a big deal (for me).
Anyway, that happened, and then today I went out with my dad. He's into bird watching now, which involves driving to rural places and hiking. I went with him, and it was great. I think he got a couple good shots out of it. He uses a vanity press to make little picture books of his best shots...pretty cool.
Keep in mind: 7 1/2 years ago, I attacked my dad and ended up in jail (rightfully so, clearly). I ended up (Praise God!) going to a Teen challenge program and getting rid of the arrest record, largely because my people didn't want me in prison or the state mental hospital, and because I had physical health problems that have only recently...resolved, I suppose. My parents were probably --never-- going to forgive me, and I can't blame them. Then I got saved, 3 1/2 years ago, and now they seem to have forgiven me...because Christ has changed me!
I'm hoping we can keep on getting closer. They're going on a lil vacay next week, and I'll be with the pets, house sitting. Please pray for that situation, too...the neighbors can be kinda rough on me, and I'm prone to paranoia, anyway (yes, I take meds...Abilify is a --good-- thing, for some of us at least...).
So, that's it from me (for now...). More quality family stuff, thanks to Christ.
