I procrastinated the laundry and have to wear mismatched socks today, lol. I don't care, I'm a man. If I was woman, I'd have to miss a days work today because of this!

As I was taking a morning shower I couldn't help thanking God for hot water and a roof to shower under. Perhaps it is is a small blessing, but who knows, maybe one day I won't have hot showers? And then, I would be calling it a big blessing! The Lord showed me once how easy and fast it is to become homeless...

So maybe these are the good ol' days? Don't forget to thank our Father for the little things. I suspect nothing displeases Him more, than ingratitude.

Have a blessed day, Brothers and Sisters!

My router died so I'm this stupid phone thing, but praise the Lord anyway!

I do the same as you Edward in thanking the Lord for hot water it is a big blessing. I thank Him for the drinking water too. Millions don't have it and we may be in the same situation one day

When do saw the title of your thread I guessed it was a man :lol
But to make you feel better I once worked with a lady who ran a children's shoe shop on the side
One day she turned up to work with odd shoes on and didn't even notice until somebody told her. How embarrassing that must have been.
As long as one sock wasn't black and the other one white you're ok. :)

Oh I don't think you have anything to worry about. Mismatching your socks seems to be the latest style anyways. Not like I do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't the only person with mismatched socks at your workplace.

One is grey and one white, but they're the same type of fluffy winter socks and both clean so it's good, lol!

That lady wore two different shoes?! I bet she wanted to fall through the floor!

I bet you're right. I bet those young boys, the installers both wear mismatched socks, lol. :)

My step daughters (teens) somehow think mismatched socks are the way to wear socks. we have a bin of socks. every once in a while I go through them and match them up and hide them, for that day when they want matching socks, when will that be? anyways yes praise for all the luxuries we have! maybe your router will resurrect, lay hands on it and maybe you will rename it the lazarus router :hysterical

She said her router died, for her internet. Jokingly I was implying to raise it from the dead and name it lazurus. Jesus raised lazurus from being dead. I’m thinking that’s what you questioned, if it was socks well I don’t get why kids would want to wear mismatched sock, fad? Got me.

Oh yeah, now I see what you're talking about. Sorry, I missed that part before lol! :lol

Do you think that washing machines eats socks?
Sometimes I wonder, lol.

Me too lol! And I forgot to mention before that there is a difference to me from accidentally wearing unmatched socks, or in Edward's case having no choice to. I accidentally have done it before admittingly, but I have never done it purposely and I just don't get it why some people do.

Yeah I'm not a huge sock wearer either. Heck! It's winter and I'm going barefoot right now! :lol I prefer slipper socks and slippers when I'm around the house and I still want something on my feet to keep them warm. :)

Maybe, because I'm pretty good at keeping pairs together whether clean or dirty. But some how the stash of single socks continues to slowly grow...

I think it is just the thought of who cares? No one is really going to be looking at your socks. They are in my boots with pants coming all the way down. That women don't or wont wear mismatched socks is prolly because they routinely show their legs and everyine could see them.

Eons ago, One of my buddies used to intentionally wear mismatched socks and shoes. In the summer time to work. We were running hot dog carts on the streets of Columbus. I thought it was idiotic but it seemed to work for him, lol.

My new router was waiting for me when I came home today. It works great! :woot2:sohappy

My hubbies socks are all white and mine, when I do ware them, are all black and the same brand so when one goes missing they always match.

I was sixteen before we had running water in our house. When it rained we would take showers under the rain spout (yes, with clothes on LOL) as that was a treat, other than that we would heat water up on the stove and pour it in a basin and took baths in the pantry with a curtain closed. When we finally got running water and a bathroom it was a praise the Lord moment not having to use an outhouse anymore and yelling "I need some toilet paper" that the whole neighborhood could hear. :eek2
