[__ Prayer __] Pray for Jasmine.

About Jasmine, I am terribly sorry that I messed up on the age of this little girl...SHE IS ONLY TWO WEEKS OLD.

Jasmine turned two weeks old today. Her lung infection is clearing up and they are planning surgery sometime this coming week. Hope to be able to send out a prayer update on Sunday sometime. The doctors are leaning towards one surgery to fix all that needs to be fixed instead of multiple surgeries cause they would have to perform 3-4 surgeries in the next five years. Upfront more risky for one surgery but the other way becomes more risky over time. Thank you for your prayers for Jasmine and her parents John and Nicole.

Dear Praying Friends,

I haven't updated on you lately on my granddaughter Jasmine. I just got a telephone call from John a little awhile ago so I can give you a update on Jasmine. My last update said that she had a lung infection which they were treating with medication and couldn't do the open heart surgery until that was cleared up. Because of your prayers that infection seems to have been taken care of. Praise the Lord for answer to prayer.

As I said John called this afternoon to tell me that they were transferring Jasmine to Gainsville, Florida to Shands Hospital. Shands Hospital is part of the University of Florida Hospital system. In 2014 Shands Hospital opened a new state of art Pediatric Cardiac ICU. It is ranked umber 27 in the country for cardiology and heart surgery on infants and children. One of their specialties is Congenital Heart Defect surgeries. The Doctor that is going to perform this surgery is from this Hospital and from what John said one of the top Cardiologist who do this type of surgery.

Around 1:30 pm this Sunday they were flying Jasmine to Gainsville which is also closer to where John and Nicole live.

So I am asking you to pray for this new hospital that Jasmine is going to. Pray for the Specialists and nurses who will be taking care of Jasmine. Pray for the doctor and his team that will be performing this surgery. John and Nicole have agreed with the doctor who said that doing one surgery to fix it all at one time instead of multiple surgeries over a period of time. The surgery is risky but isn't any surgery small or big. Looks now the surgery will be done either Tuesday or Thursday. Will send out a update when I know for sure. Thank you for your prayers for Jasmine, John, Nicole, myself and the other grandparents. My faith is getting through all of this. I am leaning on the ever lasting arms of Jesus. Know John and Nicole feel those prayers also. God is on the Throne and everything will work out for His Glory!

Sincerely,
Larry Y

Dear Praying Friends,

I had contact with John today and here is the latest but subject to change. Sunday as you know from my last E-mail Jasmine was transferred from the Hospital in Jacksonville to the UF Shands Hospital. The reason being they have a Congenital Heart Center. They specialties include Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Surgery. The Dr that will be doing the surgery is one of the top Congenital Heart Surgeons in the country. His name is Dr. Mark Bleiweis. He has a top team that does surgery with him. On Monday he did two heart surgeries. He has done heart transplants also. So we know that Jasmine is in good hands along with God's hands.

From what John said that Jasmine is doing good - she had to have another MRI done on her heart so the Doctor can have a clear picture of her heart. They were doing other tests also. Jasmine had another breathing spell I guess today and had to have chest compressions but they got her stable and is doing good now. As of now they are doing surgery as I said on Thursday. Pray for Nicole as things are just to much right now for her to deal with. She is having a difficult time which I can understand. Pray for Jasmine as she has surgery. Pray for John and Nicole. Pray for Dr. Bleiweis and his team that the Lord will give them the wisdom they need and guide their hands in this surgery. Pray that the Lord's will be done. We are all leaning on the every lasting arms of Jesus as he holds us up under the waiting and the stress of the last couple of weeks. Thank you for your love, your concern and your powerful prayers. Prayer is powerful and know they are being answered and felt.

Will keep you updated.

Dear Lord, I pray that you will watch over this beloved child. Please give wisdom to the medical team, and peace to her parents and family. I pray that the operation will be a complete success with no complications, and that she will recover fully. Please continue to smooth their path and help them deal with all the smaller difficulties that are always there in this kind of situation, especially financial problems. May You who loved children more than we ever could dream of keep this precious one safe.

Dear Praying Friends,

Just got word from John (6:30 am Thursday, March 19) that they were going to take Jasmine down for her surgery at 8 am this morning. This will be a all day open heart surgery. First they have to get her ready for this surgery and then do the surgery. Thank you for uplifting her up in prayer during the day as you think about it. Pray also for Dr. Mark Bleiweis and his team as they do this surgery. Pray especially for John and Nicole as they have been through more than alot of us in the last 19 days. God is on the throne and He is in control. We will just pray that his will will be done in all this. I love each of you.

In Christian Love,

The surgery for today has been cancelled. They did a ultasound on
Jasmine brain yesterday and found some blood. They don't like the
placement of the blood so letting neurologist look at the MRI that they
did last night. It seems to be one thing after another for Jasmine and
her parents John and Nicole. Just continue to pray that the Lord's will
be done. That is all we can ask for. The waiting and not knowing is
hard for John and Nicole. Thank you for your prayers.

As I said, there was something else they had missed.

We don't say it seems to be one thing then another. When it rains it don't pour. We don't want it to be anything else, so we don't say that.

Also the Lord's will be done. What is the Lord's will? We are the body, we are suppose to know his will, and the head then confirms his word with signs following.

Mom and dad better get in his rest quick.

Brother Mike, I'm not sure what you're saying here. Do you feel you have a message from the Lord for these parents? If so, perhaps you should give it clearly so it can be understood and passed on.

It sounds to me like the parents have prayed long and hard over this, and we have all prayed for wisdom for the medical team. God has heard us, and He is in control.

Prayers continue for Jasmine, her family and her doctors.

Good Afternoon everyone,

If you read my e-mail this morning you knew the heart surgery that was scheduled for today had to be cancelled because the doctor didn't like the placement of blood on her brain. They were letting a neurologist look at the MRI. My son John called just a short time ago to tell me that Jasmine is still stable and doing good. Neurologist looked at the MRI and thinks it is old blood caused during birth. Can't do another MRI till Monday to make sure there is no more blood. If things look good then surgery will be scheduled for next Wednesday or Thursday.

Both John and Nicole are being overwhelmed by things. It is one thing then another in regards to Jasmine. Then there is the move from one hospital to another. Surgery scheduled then not scheduled and then postponed. They want their privacy (Nicole wants it more than John as this is overwhelming her) So I can't post on Facebook any longer. Guess when I send out a update on Jasmine will have to ask you not to post it on face book. They don't want anyone calling them - a couple of my pastor friends have called and Nicole just wants to be left alone. I kind of understand a little how she is feeling. I will just send out e-mails and when I do go to Face Book will send private messages.

Thank you for your prayers for Jasmine, John, Nicole, the doctors who are treating her and the nurses who are caring for her. Thank you for the prayers for the grandparents - being me, my ex Joanne and Nicole mother Sandra and her dad Eric who has suffered a stroke and a number of tia's.

Just keep praying as it is all in God's hands. His timing is different than our timing. He has a purpose in all of this. He has a plan for Jasmine.

Love you all,

Love you all,

I know how they feel. Grandma had every Methodist Baptist church wanting to talk to us and pray with us. Lots of folk wanting to give advice and tell you how bad they feel about your situation.

I spoke once to Satan, and I spoke once to the cancer. I never prayed to God to heal my son, never accepted any other prayer as I settled it the first day. Never said a word to my family about what the doctors were saying. Until my uncle went there and told everyone especially my grandma she was going to loose a grandson. That did not help at all. Everyone stared to cry, and I and the wife got accused of not being honest and not careing about my son. Just the opposite. I could allow no place for sorrow or unbelief.

People can overwhelm you like jobs three friends.
