I live with my parents. Its a small, southern town. People in my neighborhood despise me. They taunt me, they mess with me, they clearly aren't the happiest people around (joyful and happy people don't pick on "weaklings" to bolster their own egos), and...
...yeah. I pray for my enemies, and for forgiveness for not loving my enemies appropriately, but...I've been too stuck in what they've been dishing out to realize that they need Jesus just as surely as I do. They have their reasons for despising me. I mean, this is the south. When a former Rx pill head flamer w/ mental problems gets saved and is suddenly more masculine, healthy, and surprisingly intelligent (not a super genius, but I can handle my college-level work, and that's a huge improvement), that makes people angry. I don't know if its worse in the south, or if people are just more open about it. In more "progressive" states, I'd probably be in a state mental hospital. Forever.
So..yeah...please pray for my neighborhood and my enemies in general (I have plenty of them--stigmatized people usually do).
Thanks.
