I've been corresponding with my cousin Raymond through the mail. He's currently in jail and he's written me that he's reading the Bible now and wants to change his life, and get off drugs. I just wrote him a letter sharing the Gospel with him. Please pray that the Lord would use it for His glory and to reach my cousin for his salvation.

Do they have a prison ministry where he is at and if so it would be good for him to attend. I use to go into prisons and teach the Gospel and many did come to the Lord by the hearing, or in your case the writing of the word of God. Both of you are in my prayers as he will have a struggle, but God will help him make it through.

We can be confident that if a person is truly searching for God they will be reached Redeemed. I personally like preaching to those who reside in prison for two reasons, they cannot get away, and they are sincere about learning thinking it might get them out earlier.

Like you may realize, most who do get out return to their former lives, but not all. There is no greater joy than directing someone to get on to the road to life for sure.

I use to tell the inmates that it is easy to find Jesus while being incarcerated, but if you leave Him behind when you get out you will see Him again when you go back in. When I would go back in to teach the word of God and see the repeaters a few of them would tell me how right I was in making that statement. I pray Raymond finds Jesus and stays with Him.
