[__ Prayer __] Prayer Request for my Husband to find a job.

Hello,
My husband lost his job 8 months ago due to downsizing. He was employed for 17 years with this company and received a nice severance package in which he continued to receive pay for 8 months. Well, the 8 months have passed and he has had to file for unemployment. I'm on Social Security Disability with a limited income due to that reason. My husbands unemployment check will be half of his regular pay and that will bring a financial hardship because I have expensive medical treatments due to my disability. We also have two teenage children which doesn't help our financial situation.

He has been submitting applications for the last 8 months but has only had one interview and he didn't get the job.

He is very discouraged and I'm trying to trust in the Lord and continue to stay positive. This is getting more difficult with the passing of each day.

Please pray for my husband as he continues to search for employment and for my family in general.

Thank You and God Bless!

I hope you come back for some follow up, because I can really hear the desperation in your message. You are going through a valley, for sure, and I pray you all grab on to the Only Thing that will see you through this. I'm confident you will come out of this and see it through the lens of hind-sight one day. Wouldn't it be amazing to have demonstrated great faith to your children and give them a life lesson in trusting God's Providence? When you two and your children can look back and know you remained strong in your faith, you will give them a gift that will last their lifetimes.

It's tough, I know, but the Peace you need can only come from Him.

Psalm 23 - says it all
The Lord is my Shepherd (relationship)
I shall not want (supply)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures (rest)
He leads me beside the still waters (refreshment)
He restores my soul (healing)
For His names’ sake (purpose)
Yea, though I walk through the valley - of the shadow of death (testing)
I will fear no evil (protection)
For You are with me (faithfulness)
Your rod and Your staff comfort me (discipline)
You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies (hope)
You anoint my head with oil (consecration)
My cup runs over (abundance)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life (blessing)
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (security)

I am praying that the DOORS will be OPEN for your husband and that he will find a good job once again !!! Stay strong { read my bible verse below } that has always helped me thru those hard times !!

My husband and I went through a downsize once and it was one of the scariest times I've ever been through. We had 4 teenagers at the time and my first thought was "What are we going to eat?" and "Are we going to lose the house?". Thankfully, my husband is a very strong man of God and he reminded me daily that God loved us and our children more than we did, and that He was our source...not the job. He reminded me that God's Word said that He would provide for our needs and we thanked God for the job we knew He had waiting for us. My husband did his part by applying for every job he could apply for and continued to pray and believe. Did it get kind of tight? Yeah. We didn't go out to eat or to the movies, but we never went hungry and our home was never in danger of being taken away. God worked in some very interesting ways and brought us through.
What I know is this....God is no respecter of persons. God loves you and will provide your every need. And, if He will provide a job for my husband, He will provide one for your Husband. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
