Preparedness

why then does it say at the last trump? where are the other trumps?hmm?

isreal?really it says that number of them in heaven was a sand of the sea! jews compromise less then 5% of the today human populous so it can be isreal alone.

gentiles must be included.

and also problem reconcile that with whom is listed in revalation 20 that reigns. it say only they that have been beheaded and refused the mark of the beast will reign with the lord.

paul says we all reign with christ, yet that is contradicted if i take it your way.

What are you talking about? The living and dead members of the Bride will feast together.

The Great Tribulation era is meant for the world. The Bride is not part of the world. Scripture is addressing this issue for those who are alive to understand it when they see it coming.
Jesus told the apostles that they would go through the tribulation and be gathered afterwards,Jesus also told those apostles to teach that doctrine to the church. The idea that Jesus gave His return for national Israel only is totally fabricated by man and not at all found in the bible.

God doesn't require us to be prepared in any way physically. We, the Church will not be required to undergo the dire sufferings of Tribulation.
You need to read Matt 24 VERY carefully and actually accept and believe what it is saying.

The Bride is going to her wedding! She is not going to suffer the wrath of Tribulation which is meant for others.

when saints die by men or natural disaster, whose wrath was it? man or satan or God's?

This is correct. God is sovereign, He is in and of all, He allows all to happen, He could stop it, but He doesn't and only He knows why.

I do not believe in pre-rapture and I do not want to debate this, but the fact is, as Christians in this world, we will suffer and we need to be prepared spiritually, and eventually we may need to be prepared physically, if we do not die first.

And would you tell this to the Japanese Christians now?

Who allowed the earthquake to happen? God is sovereign.

Why not? The Church is still here. Millions there need Jesus Christ.

Allowed? The planet behaves as it was created. Do you think God somehow had a hand in this disaster by staying out of it? HE IS WEEPING AT THE LOSS!

i had a fellow believer after church try to tell me that japan was judged.i lovingly disagreed and told him of americas large earthquakes when we were more christlike.he didnt change his view but it made him think as i told him this. which is better to state that we know God judges these nations in these disasters or teach that we all need jesus and dont know deaths comes.either way repentence is needed. how we die is immaterial to the fact we all die and will go to hell if we dont have the lord.

I am not saying that God judged Japan with this earthquake but what I am saying is that God obviously did allow it, He could have prevented it, just like many other things He could have prevented but chose not to.

The Bible does tell us that He will judge the nations though, when? Who knows.

On smaller scales, we can see John the Baptist was beheaded, all the apostles died a violent death.

God does not always prevent untimely horrendous deaths and like you have said jason, we do need to be prepared, as in knowing our Lord.

God did not take the Israelites out of the wilderness either, for 40 years, but He did take of their physical needs and their spiritual ones and that is what I think is going to happen here. We will be in situations where we have to rely on God for everything. There will not be doctors, or stores, or other conveniences we have. He just took Japan into that same wilderness, they are running out of water and who knew this would happen? But those Christians over there are being taught to rely on God for all of their needs, spiritual as well as physical and it can very well happen here and we can one day find ourselves in the same situation.

Yes, He is sovereign. Do you not believe He is in and all and does not know what is going on down here?

He created the world, why would you not believe He can control it, too? He is the creator, He is in all.

i should do a thread on the dire situations in the past that america faced, one being the great depression, the burning of washington d.c., the civil war. the many large earth quakes we had, one being so bad that the missipi reversed course. katrina(local though) the 4 hurricanes that hit florida in one month(real rare) and two of them had the exact same path over my county line.

Rockie, God gave man dominion over the creation. Satan has usurped that dominion. God is well aware of what is happening, He intervenes when His people intercede.

i have never heard a saint here when the hurricane is aproaching not pray. once i did see one turn away. but most have hit us.some were bad others werent. i do believe that we can ask god to protect us and for mercy but sometimes he lets the storm do its damage and teaches us what is important by it.

oh the stories of no power and the grilling while i was on leave in 04.

Yes, that would be good. God does not always take Christians out of disasters, but what He wants us to do is to rely on Him for everything, both spiritually and physically, which is my point.

I dont understand why God does or doesn't do what i think He should! He could have stopped the murder of Cornnellus The earth quake. even the financial disaster we here are in.
It is so inspiring to see a kid who shows his knowledge/love/trust of God and His Word. You and Nick make my heart smile...

Nor would i tell the Christians in the Sudan they were not under tribulation.

Exactly jason, God turns everything around for good to those who love Him. We were never promised a life on this earth w/out suffering. It would defeat His purpose.

The saints in the 3rd world countries already know to rely on God for everything, they do not have anything, they live on like $2 a day if that. We have not learned that here in America, we have everything we need.

Jesus said we would all suffer trouble in this life.

John 16:33 NLT
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

I do not know why either, but one thing we can know for certain, is God is control of it all, He took Cornelius because Cornelius was ready to go spiritually, he had run the good race and fought the good fight, even if it was done by evil men.
I truly believe God is trying to teach us, and has throughout His creation, that He wants us to rely on Him for everything. His Word says He will supply all of our needs, and we need to have faith in that.
