I do not know why either, but one thing we can know for certain, is God is control of it all, He took Cornelius because Cornelius was ready to go spiritually, he had run the good race and fought the good fight, even if it was done by evil men.

God took Cornelius?

Satan took him out! It was by Satan's will, not God's!

John 10:10 NLT
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

I do not want to talk about C's death right now.

The Bride is going to her wedding! She is not going to suffer the wrath of Tribulation which is meant for others.
Jesus told the apostles that they would go through the tribulation, Alabaster tells us that the church will not go through the tribulation...now which one should we believe...I think I will go with Jesus.
One of the strange deceptions of our time is when Christians read in two gospels where Jesus said that His return to gather His people will be after the tribulation, and they read it, and then contradict it by saying that Jesus return to gather His people will be before the tribulation. A clear contradiction of the words of Christ and acting as if it is the words of Christ??? Is the devil smart or is he smart, all the demons probably roll on the floor in laughter every time a christian denies the post-trib gathering of the believers given to the church by Jesus Himself. Christians openly contradicting Jesus and claiming they are speaking the words of Jesus, sigh!

i counter that with this.psalms 116:5

Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.

rockie as you know how i feel about "c" but i cant help but see that his life was a sweet odour unto the lord.yes i will miss him but i know this to be what he said and what was presented to me elsewhere.

Don't be obtuse.

I go with Jesus. He talks about general tribulation we are guaranteed to suffer in this world, but we are guaranteed to be removed while THE (specific) Tribulation takes place on the earth, raining judgments on its INHABITANTS.

Study to show yourself approved and please keep your derision in check. Crying out "Contradiction! Strange deception! Demons must laugh!" reveals a dearth of discernment as well as Christian charity.

I don't believe it is God-honouring to use His word to duel.

Psalm 116:15 Amplified explains it better:
Precious (important and no light matter) in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (His loving ones).

its called a debate for a reason. i hate that bible btw. it doesnt change the context. he lets us die so that we can be with him.what you dont think he doenst arrange our deaths? if we are ordained unto goodworks , and a mansion prepared , somehow our end is a mystery to him? he planned the lord's death on the cross. what makes us special.

Then what is your good reason to HATE a Bible?

He knows our deaths. He doesn't kill us! Satan interferes and has his way a lot in this his domain. Satan is the author of death and disease and destruction of people.

That said, in His mercy He will answer our earnest prayers and take His suffering ones.

I truly believe God is trying to teach us, and has throughout His creation, that He wants us to rely on Him for everything. His Word says He will supply all of our needs, and we need to have faith in that.

Amen

Just because a man or woman or child is ready, that is not the reason why people die. We should all be ready to see God at any given moment.

BUT, he allows it, this will sound like the reform thinking, but i think he ordains when we come to be and die. after he is the author and finisher of our faith. For it is appointed unto all men to DIE then unto judgment. what does one do when you set an appointment. you plan for something.Does God kill his saints? no, but he allows it.He controls satan, and allows him to kill us if that is the way are to go.again God is in control.

i hate the message bible. way too redudant.

God surely knows when we will die, yet Satan will come and rob people of their lives. God knows about it, but He has not always ordained it, so yes, in a sense He allows it as He will spare people much suffering, but I believe in my heart of hearts that God does not allow everything, yet it happens, and He mourns with us.

This scripture is an amazing and comforting message:

Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT
<sup class="versenum" id="en-NLT-18742">1</sup> Good people pass away;
the godly often die before their time.
But no one seems to care or wonder why.
No one seems to understand
that God is protecting them from the evil to come.
2 For those who follow godly paths
will rest in peace when they die.

We must be careful with our words. To hate something is very strong. God certainly doesn't hate The Message. To hate a man's mere paraphrase of the word of God is really a problem. What does redundant mean to you?

so i shouldnt hate poor translations? i'm sure God doesnt approve of the jw bible at all. that is a perversion of his word. the message isnt that way but i do hate. i hate evil? should i not. redudant as in too many words that add nothing but confusion.

if you cant read then one ought to learn how to read. the niv,asv and njkv are easily read and understood.

that verse, doesnt contradict what i said earlier. he plans our deaths. he lets it happen. paul spoke of his death as something that he wanted. home with the lord. i think the lord desires us in full . un sin hindered relationship with no distractions. that isnt possible here on the earth for the time being.

Trusting the Lord to be God. I believe He is God i believe He is in control. He tells us He knows the number of hairs we have on our heads. God is sovereign.

Some folks like the image of a weak god. A god who is controled by mankind. My God set the stars in the sky makes the world turn. He formed the universe yet has time to care for the sparrow.
