If the lies about providing care and jobs for people as if that sort of thing never happened before dont grab you, the part about elevating an earthly entity as the last and best hope for anything is pretty lame for someone that claims Christ...lie or not.

Oh I didn't fully realise the "last best hope" thing when I heard it the first time.
It's awesome he wants his country to be meaningful in a good way, but it's also very arrogant putting the USA above everything else. If the would-be statesman or woman of any other country would give such a speech they'd be highly critisised.

Okay that speech was over the top, but Obama isn't the first and won't be the last president to promise too much to his voters.

So please excuse my cluelessness - what's so shun-worthy about that speech?

His obvious messiah complex and narcissistic sociopathic nature. American does not elect dictators, we elect executive Presidents.

If you've known a narcissist in your life and identified/researched the psychological pathology, you'd recognize Obama's strange behavior and reactions immediately.
